Project: Temjin-S

Right, anyone heard of gls?

Took me a while to follow the trail but it's coming through parcel force 24hr and I think is being despatched tomorrow so hopefully will be with me by December 2012 if parcel force have improved since the last time I've used them.

How long does it usually take for EK to make some yummy nickel plexis for mobos after release?

Good question Mr Cleeecooo sah have been scouring the net myself with no success as yet will let you know if i see anything.
If sharps made your desk try the furniture section of a local Staples they have stuff thats quite similare to the sharp ranges, neat curved corners, extension units etc tis worth a try.

Hmm... The current desk I have is built into the wall so may need to rip it out :(

If your seriously thinking of changing the desk/furniture set up this might sound strange but get that sorted before you get your build going it'll give you something to encourage you while you crack on with your build.
Am sure what you have now is more than adequate but if you want to change it thats your choice sah, stick a few pics up and let people give their input might put a different perspective on it :)

yes sir you need a corner desk for sure, I got this one for $50 USD in the states from Wal-Mart.

I honestly don't see how you are comfortable gaming in that desk, i don't see anywhere yo put your legs. I would tell the wife that it is absolutely necessary to get a new desk.

@ Cleeecooo & Hyburnate-Sorry didnt mean to hikack you just wanted to show you a nice desk could be had for cheap. As for the background, I took a pic of a close up chip and just colorized it. I don't know if photobuckt will support that big of a pic, but i will try when i get home and link you guys back.

@KiiYzOo- I started doing case reviews so I had to switch all my parts over to the review case. Don't worry I have plans for a new system to put in the skeleton. Its a work in progress. Look at SIG.

Well, as I said, i'll ask Sharps to come in, do me a design and give me a quote. Not sure whether they'll need to rip the current desk out though.

If they do, then i'll get a whole new unit done :D

Do you guys think it's doable for £100 as IIRC, they offer discounts for previous customers and i spent £4k last time when I moved in

The quality of workmaship is excellent but what I really need to do is come up with a stringent set of criteria for the designer. Any suggestions greatly welcomed!!

Just from my point of view i know you have your way of doing things and thats cool but why would you not at least think of something that does not involve paying a designer and what not?

Its the same point in doing your own build the satisfaction of total control and the smugness of a job well done when its complete :)

Yeah in an ideal world i would "get some-one in" but for now i settle for 2 x3metre worktops until finances improve it aint pretty but its practical for now:o

Now think of all the shiny shiny you could get with the money you would save on a simple 2 plank setup :D:D
