Oh sorry forgot to say the case has actually arrived but I'm on my way back from India right now. Some pics next week
have you checked out the MAximus hero Viii? there like a gun metal grey on the surrounds might be worth a look at for future etcthey do have red parts on but easy enough to customise it
The sabertooth has the look I want but it will not be staying that colour
Sabertooth would be perfect for this build! Have you decided on what waterblocks you are going for?

UPDATE: I'm back home finally (five weeks away was too long!) its 6am and I opened some lovely boxes this morning. Pics to follow once (if) the sun comes up. I've also updated OP to include the hardware changes
I want to add LED Green + Red into the top of the case to give that ship navigation lights affect, here is a very rough paint to show you what I mean. For those unnautical types I consider the front of the case to be the bow (front of a ship) Port (left side) is Red and Starboard (right side) is Green. Also a wee teaser the anchor or anchors are at the bow (hint)

I wanted their blessing to use images etc from their website, it wasn't so much getting their permission. I just thought it would be the courteous thing to do in case I was after artwork etc direct from them.
Anyway I got the camera out this morning and the EVOVL out of the box finally. Here are some shots and also giving you guys chance to comment on my anchor plan.
Thank goodness its got rubber feet otherwise wife wouldn't be too happy with me putting it on her oak worktop
This is the plan for my aluminium slab, I'd like to backlight it with some form of rotation to the light to produce a water reflection effect, not quite sure how to achieve that yet. Any comments as to the scale? I think it just about right I wanted the anchor big !
As for the camouflage ideas there is one image here of an Atlanta Cruiser that I love the most, maybe just less blue and more grey shades.

Spent the day making the anchor logo. At first I did a very rough wooden template, just to get an idea for how it might look.
