I like the idea of a wind powered Eco-Stompy.

What was the name of that show where millionaires gave money away to people with damn fool ideas?

"We're going to beat aids but we need 10K for 12 Core2Duos and a wind turbine."

The idea really appeals to me too. A moderate sized wind turbine can produce a good deal of electricity and can be equally effective day and night, in a good location. I'm on top of the North Downs so that’s pretty good.

C2D's are pretty energy efficient as well, and are dropping in price at the moment.

How far away is AMD's offering cause whilst they may be expensive they'll probably further push the C2D's down.

And whichever way you look at this it would be a long term project, it's not like we don't have time to wait, especially if we want a carbon neutral Stompy MK II.

Edit: Just had a thought, it would also be quite fun for a load of us to get together and actually build a new Stompy.

I think a new stompy would be a great idea, woul pull the team together and liven up this area a bit more.
