Prototype

I was thinking of getting it at launch day but its the middle of the month in between paydays and they are charging £34.99 for it on steam. Hoping it will drop in price considering i got fallout 3 for 24.99 on launch day as a retail hard copy.

Hi,

How are you all going to be playing this game???

Since this is a console game do you guys use the keyboard and mouse and do you have one of those xbox 360 PC gamepads?

Because there is so many things that the player can do, the only good way to play it would be on the 360 pad, makes the combination buttons a lot easier then

I am drooling at the action video someone posted a page back.

I wanna piledrive someone off a building into a tank and then pick up said tank and throw it at a helicopter :'(

You know, I find a keyboard and mouse have more immediate/reachable buttons, maybe I'm blind or a spastic but, correct me ;)
I mean just hovering my hand lightly over WSAD I have a ton load of buttons within reach, not to mention the mouse has 1..2..3 buttons on the top, a scroll wheel to save two for changing weapons/skills (if any) and side mouse buttons.

Not saying 360 pad isn't good, I am not saying it's worse for you, but you obviously didn't mean a 360pad had more buttons.. ;)

I've always considered mouse + keyboard > game controller (for RTS, FPS and the like)

Aim help didn't existed before game controllers :)

Yeah gotta be Keyboard and mouse for me if is playable with it. Shall be getting this off Steam shortly.

Looks excellent thus far.

Some games work with the keyboard and mouse, like RTS and The Sims, but some games like this I find that a 360 controller is a lot easier than having to use the keyboard and mouse together, depends what your happier using IMO

i thought this game was the next assassins creed, obviously not :p

so people who have downloaded it are you all experiencing choppy game play? is it worth buying or skipping?

bugger the anti piracy lot! :)

NEVER buy a game, always rent it first to see what its like.. simple as that..

unless you buy games complete them in a week and like wasting money

you can rent pc games

ive borrowed a few in my time from the bay like, an man aint that saved me from wasting my money

I got mine through the post today, and its quite good.

There is sound issues with it though

1) The sound is low and you have to turn your volume up to hear something (you can put subtitles on though, also theres a fix on the offical forums)

2) Sometimes the sound will crackle.

3) I get heavy lag on some of the menus like when upgrading skills and it tells you how to use it etc (due to the sound issues aswell i think)

I play in 1680x1050, 4x AA, Medium detail (cant tell diff between med and high)

Don't know my fps but its playable

Thats on e5200 @ 3.10, 2gb RAM, Ati 4770 @ stock
Also use keyboard and mouse and have no problems with controls.

Only had the game crash once so far aswell but it all depends on your computer, some people have no problems then others do.

But thats just whats wrong with mine and to be honest i dont even care because it rarely happens and the game is playable as anything :P
