Surely you'll get a Component or HDMI lead with the console ? What would be the point in selling a High Def. gaming console without the leads to play it ?

.

Most printers don't come with leads either.

Remember the Wii only sold 200,000 in December in the UK and that was with retailers selling out everywhere. UK's likely to get 200k consoles i reckon.

This is impressive line-up but I find it hard to believe that PS3 is doing poorly in Japan with such a better launch titles line-up you couldn't ask for more?!

I would say half of this list are games that are poor and not next gen and you can get most of them on the 360 for what £20-30

Infact I count 15 games for the xbox 360.

I agree, no games there that interest me apart from ones I can already play on PC/360. No reason to get one then.

I'm sure I'll get one eventually in 12-15 months when there's some must have games out, when the blu-ray/HD-DVD situation is a bit clearer, and when it's priced around £300.

XBOX 360 games already for £30 or less LINE-UP

not many intrest me either

either on 360, pc or boring

Same, no Gran Turismo, Final Fantasy, or anything not out on other platforms already. And at £425 !!!!!

You can now definitely say you can get a 360 & Wii for less than a PS3. I might get one...when its under £200.

No doubt at some point I wil buy a PS3 just to give one a go, but from that launch lineup there is only F1 which interests that I won't be able to get on the 360.

so £443 then if you wanna play in Hi Def because they cannot be ****** to throw in a component cable or HDMI lead, then a extra controller at £34 which makes it £477 then at last 1 game at £50 so now £527 but you will probably buy two or be forced to take a bundle by the store so now add another £50 which makes it £577

Bargin, not!

Sony Says No PS3 Price Drop before June 2008:

Sony Computer Entertainment America chief Jack Tretton stated on the record that there will be no price-drop for the PlayStation 3 until June 2008 at the very least.

This comes out of an interview he had with Game Informer magazine when he was asked if the price drop for the PS3 would be “as soon or as drastic as they were for the PlayStation 2.” He replied with a very clear answer stating, “No.”

Back when the PS2 launched in October 2000 in the it had a price point of $299. The first price reduction put he price down to $199 and came in May of 2002 about a year and a half after the console launched. Tretton though has stated that the $599 price point will not be going away until at least the summer of 2008.

He stated that the investment in research, development and hardware makes the PS3 “far more difficult to cost reduce” than was the case for the PS2.

He does not see it as a problem for Sony though as many people spent way above the retail price on launch day on sites such as eBay.

15 months is quite a wait for a price drop and may be a wait that many gamers holding out for a hopeful price drop may not be able to stand.

And then perhaps £60 for a three-year warranty...
