No the faster the spindle the faster the hard drive. Thats why servers use 15,000rpm drives.

Yeah I understand that logic but when it comes to the PS hard drive, I'm sure its different, someone will clarify this I'm sure soon enough...

Aye absolutely, but in this case the manual is different and clearly intended only for the UK and Australia - the reason I say this is because it mentions BD region B and DVD regions 2 and 4 and absolutely no mention is made of BD region A or DVD region 1. There's also other references elsewhere to the card readers and wireless where it says something like "Equipped models only".

I realise this doesn't necessarily mean that they are planning on a 20GB model for the UK - I suppose it's just a way of saving them having to reprint new manuals in case they do ever change their minds.
