LOL yeh I found the block button, im not saying its crap, it just didnt make me want to go out and buy the thing that's all. Found the camera a pain in the butt and the enemies a bit dull and repetitive. And while the main lead was well modelled, the backgrounds wernt very detailed or complex.

I'm considering trading in my 360 for a PS3.

I've not gamed on my Xbox since Assassins Creed came out and I think I need a change. I'm due a bit of a bonus, plus I have a load of games to trade in, should pretty much be able to get a PS3 and a load of games on the cheap. The Bluray drive is a big bonus too. Silent running is a bonus too.

And my little bro has a PS3, so we'll be able to swap games.

Decisions, decisions.

Drake's fortune's graphics are quite stunning tbh, don't be fooled just because they don't have the silly fake shiny plastic look that is indicative of so many 'other' games these days, this game is heavy on shaders which is good.

Pretty much every Multi-platform game so far has had the lead on the 360 and scaling the game to work on the PS3 isn't easy, Developers are now realising that it's allot easier to use the PS3 as the lead platform as this way it's allot easier to downscale the game to work on the 360's architecture, also generally this means the game on both platforms will be practically identical, so PS3 users can expect multi-platform games to improve vastly in the coming years.

Saying that, there are a few developers out there that actually put in the extra work on the PS3 on a couple of the multi-platform titles, COD4 and Burnout Paradise for example, these games just go to show that the PS3 is perfectly capable of having the same graphics and performance as the 360, Dirt was actually noticeably better than the 360 version, this mainly do the fact Dirt was made using the PhyreEngine that was developed my Sony.

Been playing Drake a fair bit, pretty good game, like a modern tomb raider, voice acting is really good, graphics are OK as well, so far its the only decent game iv played on the PS3.

F1 demo - pretty damn poor, week graphics as well

Startdust demo - Not bad

Ninja Gaiden - 1st time I have played any of the series, not overally impressed TBH

Everybodys golf - quite fun, nice and easy to pick up and play, but it looks like a PS2 game

Ratchet and clank - Looks pretty good again, but bit to lightweight for me.

Oh, i downloaded the movie for Tekken, does it really look that bad!

I think I will complete Drake and then sell it, and then just accept that for now I have just spent £300 on a blu ray player, I have to admit to be pretty shocked at just how week the PS3 is as a games machine from what iv seen, im not trying to start a war here, after I have both machines and im just voicing my opinion. Quite surprised you think that Uncharted is only OK in the graphics dept, cant think of any other current Gen game that looks as good, perhaps you need to get a bit further into the game to see the real good stuff, unless all other games are slightly below ok.
Tekken 5 is a HD port of PSP game and is about £15 cant expect it to be as polished as VF5 (even though i like it more)
And i dont get how EG5 looks anything like a PS2 game? Maybe its as the Characters are more anime style than real life? But the scenery is very good. I know you are not starting a war and allowed you to voice your opinion but i just thought it seemed a bit strange thats all.

sorry, my mistake, didnt realise Tekken was just a PS2 port, that explains it.

As for everybodys golf, I didnt think neither charectors or backround were that detailed, Im downloading Tigerwoods Demo, I have that for the 360 so I will be able to do a back to back comparrison.

Drake is by far the nicest looking PS3 I have seen, iv been playing it a bit more today, it really is a fun little game. I know im being a picky sod, but I just wanted to be impressed as hell by the PS3 like I was with the 360, and I havnt been.

I have found one thing the PS3 is good at though, playing DVDs, its a very good little machine, at least if not better then my standalone £250 Pioneer one.

I think Drake is one of the nicest looking games this Gen, Not just on the PS3, 360 included.

Everyone knows Gears of war as being one of the nicest titles on 360, And I'd rate Drake above it, Not in every aspect mind you.

We will have to agree to disagree there mate, I recently played GOW again, as I havent played it since I made the jump from a 32" HD set to a 42", I was still amazed just what a stunning game to look at it is.

Are you sure you didn't download the PS1 version of Eveybody's golf instead, because there is no way the latest one looks like a PS2 game. Either that or you have issues with your tv because on mine it looks very nice.

the thing is you've already experienced 'next gen' on the 360, so your not going to get the same buzz again on the PS3 because the PS3 is of the same gen, it like buying your first decent HI-FI setup and being wowed buy the audio quality, it's very hard to recreate that feeling again unless your next HI-FI is exceptionally better, and as we know the PS3 and 360 are pretty much on a level ground when it comes to graphics, although if the PS1/PS2/PSP is anything to go by the graphics will continually be improving over the years, the thing about the 360 is it's pretty much already peaked on the graphics front, due to the way the 360 is engineered it will be hard to improve the graphics beyond what we've already seen, developers for the PS3 on the other hand are already having ideas about how they can use the cell processor and it's spu's to help with the graphics more in their games, this will indemnity evolve over time like it did on their previous systems.
