PS3, worth it?

Oh, I don't disagree that there are differences in the quality of controllers. I don't really like the Playstation pad, it's well known for being crap for FPS's whereas the Xbox360 pad is the pinnacle of pads for a FPS.

PS pad is crap for driving games too

The PS pad is best for footy games. Yet to really test on other games till there out, still I have no issues with it so far, never had. Also like how light the thing is.

I would say the PS3 is slowly becoming worth its price, especially with the updates. Just one AAA game will make it worth it all in the end.

I'd agree, I think by the end of the year/this time next year the high price will seem like a snip for what the console can and will offer users. Also the build quality is very high and that will hold it in good stead for the future.

Hopefully some third-party controllers will be released that improve on the official one, because atm I can only see this being the obvious flaw with the console.

I say this in the hope that future updates mentioned & Home continue the growth of the console, especially online.

Tbh with you mate, there has been quite a lot of slating the ps3 on these forums and that was largely due to the price and the lack of games which is understandable but as a result of everything I use to read, I really did not expect anything from the ps3 at all.

I was tempted at £340 but for £285 I felt I couldn't refuse, for a brand new ps3, even if its just to use as a bluray player. Turns out now though I'm hugely impressed by it which I really did not expect. Motorstorm looks brilliant and is quite addictive. The thing is so silent you can hardly hear its switched on, and the built quality still amazes me. I'm a big 360 fan, I've still got my 360 with about 10 games here but I have to say I'm very impressed with the ps3. I've just updated it to v1.80 and I'm tempted to even buy afew classic ps2 games now for it

It gets a massive thumbs up from me.
