Mine beeps fairly rarely now but it has at times made an extra loud beep as well.

When I first installed it the beeping was quite regular but it seems to have got less and less as time has gone on, maybe it's due to the more content installed the less the beeps?

I read elsewhere that the more you put the more it beeps.

So does this happen because of that specific drive? There isnt any other drive with those dimensions and storage right?

Its such a shame that sony once again doesnt support external drives like the other 2 competing consoles.

Yep - there haven't been any higher capacity 9mm 2.5" drives released as yet. Anything you find with a higher capacity is taller than 9mm.

Up until now SSHD in 2.5" form factor have only been 1tb max in size.

Mmm! I'd love 4TB internal as I have 720GB ish left. Think I have more than 30 games installed and a ton of screenshots, 5 - 6GB.
