This isn't 2007 anymore. The Cell architecture is gone. Both consoles are now both using x86_64 so it's a moot point. You only need to look at the likes of what Naughty Dog and Santa Monica have achieved on the PS3 since launch to see what it is capable of, even though it was playing catchup for the first few years.
