ps4 case modding

And obviously having to keep the PS4 upside down or stood up - or just take the whole bottom of it off and be done with it ;)

ps3ud0

im not actually touching the fan, im putting a hole in the ps4's outer shell thats directly over/under the internal fans location and fitting an 80mm filter on said location, so instead of the ps4 circulating hotter air, there will be cooler air coming in from outside of it.

i have done fan mods before , 1 on my current ps3 and some to a couple of 360's in the past, i know i have to be cautious.

Post some pics.

I'd like to see a project log of it, however I do feel this is highly unnecessary, at least wait until the warranty is out, then at least if it does somehow break (for more than just overheating) you can still get it repaired/replaced properly.

Can't believe the amount of hate in this thread, it's like being in the motor sub-forum!

Best of luck to the op, look forward to seeing your pics.

There's a lot of Saudi's with ps4's if they aren't complaining about them dying from overheating then I seriously doubt that the ps4's cooling system is incapable of surviving here in the uk

whats with all the negativity? lol

I think everyone is thinking along the lines of, if it isn't broken don't try to fix it.

The PS4 was designed in a way to give it sufficient airflow and prevent it from over heating in the first place.
