Just sold a brand new sealed ps4 on ebay, buyer has lots of negative feedback  whats the safest thing to do? im at work at the moment so can't check but is the serial number of the box or would i need to open it up?

Oh lawd don't sell to them, just cancel the sale and relist it.

You can only get negative feedback from things you've sold, so steer clear.

99% of the time eBay/PayPal will side with the buyer not the seller so just don't post it to them.

There are. Ebay charges you fees now for cancelling sales within the last 24 hours of a listing with bids, or after the listing has finished.

Not if you tell them there is no transaction due to the item being damaged during packing. You can get them to credit your account.

I've had this a few times, normally I send it and everything turns out fine but I can understand your trepidation with such a valuable item. I would cancel it, the worst he can do is leave a bad feedback which, if you leave a calm and polite counter comment (i.e. don't do what you say he does and start mouthing off), it's not the end of the world.

You could try a local selling group on Facebook. You will find items like that will sell really quick, with no fees and cash in hand. You're going to be talking £45 of fees on a £350 item on eBay with PayPal.

I'm confused, does he have negative feedback as a seller or buyer?

If he sends the money and it clears in your PayPal account or bank account etc...what's the issue? It's a brand new sealed item.

Just send it by a courier so you have proof it got delivered.

Some dodgy types claim the item is faulty, and send back a broken one.. though as long as you record the serial and list it part of the communication process with the buyer, it should put them off trying that. I'm sure there are other tactics a truly unscrupulous buyer could do however.

I would be tempted to say the item met with an accident and is now broken... hard to leave negative feedback using that excuse.

I'd say I gave it one last check before I sent it & it doesn't switch on, Cancel the Sale & forget about it.

Can I ask why you didn't post it in the Members Market ?
