PS4 worth getting?

If you havent played the last of us, or GTA V you have a great few month ahead, if you have, like me, my ps4 will remain unused until the next new game thats of interest to me, which at the minute isnt until feburary :(

Its a great machine with a bright future but at the moment its not getting much use at all!

Oh yh need 2 play tht game, so its the remastered edition tht will b out soon?, im holding out for FIFA 15 and GTA V since there coming 2 PC. wow glacier white PS4 looks gr8 too.

I'd go and pick one up tomorrow if I could afford it, as it stands I'm waiting for an Uncharted bundle some time next year when I've hopefully cleared my credit card a bit... :p

I don't think its worth it yet personally. Ive just sold mine because I'm not playing it...when I do I'm playing Child of Light and other multiplatform games. I'd wait a year myself.

My idea is if you find a bargain go get it. But for games that haven't come out yet and nothing out there that would interest you to play then i suppose it is a no. Plus I am starting to hate Sony's strategy. Why do they go PS3 to PS4 HD remasters. I understand last of us needs that because it came very late and to give PS4 owners who came from MS to play it, but i would like to see developers work on new games as well and not games that i already bought and played. They do this even worse with the vita where they said their strategy is to keep indy developers and maybe some third party, and use this mostly as a ps4 companion rather than creating 1st party games for it. Why oh why since its your console you stop supporting it. I will get a PS4, probably when MGS5 comes out unless i find a bargain of lets say 230 for the console.

What's the point in selling something to buy back at a later date?

You spend more money that way?

Yeah, I had to do TV first as I really wanted a 1080p display to make full use of the PS4. I didn't see much point in getting a PS4 to only play at 720p. New Sony coming tomorrow!

ive changed my mind am getting a ps4 simply because of the sales figures going to be a larger playerbase to play vs on psn this gen

I just hope sony get their act together and stop matchmaking between southern and northern europe it's a real bug bear of mine never played vs a southern european that didn't lag.

Change my mind a lot though I may get to the shop and do a 360 and walk away with an xbone

It's a gripe of mine about PlayStation - how it's split into regions like EMEA (incl. Australia and NZ) Japan and America. I much prefer how Microsoft treats everyone equally in just one global region for Xbox Live purposes.

Well all I know is for example fifa 14 on psn I have lost count the amount of times it's reporting 3 green bars the game starts and it's unplayable lag, you check their region and it's southern europe and the med more often than not.

And there's nothing we can do unless games start using own country or max ping multplayer filter options.

Wish I could see the uk sales figures I just want to be on the platform that has the largest playerbase in the uk.

Given the PS4 is outselling Xbox One at about 2:1 globally you can expect a similar ratio in the UK.

That's not the case anymore since Microsoft dropped kinect. Xbox One's are selling like hotcakes now

orly? http://www.extremetech.com/gaming/1...al-of-kinect-but-the-ps4-is-still-miles-ahead

Xbox One was shipping (not selling) about 30k consoles per week, this has now jumped to 60k since the price drop which is good but when PS4 is still sitting steady at 100k~ per week sold (as in to customer, not shipped to retail) then they aren't anywhere close to closing the deficit.

PS4 at 8.4m global sold and XB1 at 4.8m global shipped apparently.

Imo no as there enough enough games out. I'm still playing games on my ps3 -
Street fighter 4
Tekken
GT6
TLOU and a few others.
