PST: Project Silicon Talisman

Dat SLi bridge doh. :F

That is some tasty work, dude.

I wanted to do something with a white LED under a metal cover when I was thinking of doing SLi but case choice + soundcard limited me to just the one. To be honest I do only need the one card but would have been fun to try making a custom bridge. Good job, man.

thanks man. ;)

i am keeping an eye on your build log and may steal an idea or two. painted fans for my build but i think they don't look as sexy as yours.

Ermmmm your SLI bridge. Isn't the logo mirrored? Or is the photo mirrored?

I do like such details though :)

good point. actually i completely ignored the orientation and stuck the sli cover on bridge. I should had placed it other side facing forward. I thought logo is symmetric but looking at it closely it isn't. Just proves how much attention you pay to the detail while making those amazing water blocks

I am gonna mirror the images now and will fix the bridge when i go back home. lol

Bad news. The external LEDs on the case (Phanteks Enthoo Luxe) are playing up a bit. Looks like a few leds have developed a fault and now have a slightly different color tone. RMA time? feels like blue emitters have given up the ghost.

I was suppose to start work on side panel to make room for 3 more 140mm fans to bring fresh air in as all rads are exhausting air. lucky me I didn't start this earlier.

Damn those GPUs look sublime. My favourite part is the silver backplate that just makes the light colour scheme :)

I was thinking of keeping the backplate on and just install waterblock. But Diamond Cooling do custom backplates with their blocks and I think that will look better in my build.

Such a good looking cooler, it's almost a shame to take it apart!

True that. but I hope that waterblocks will do the justice ;)

Painted 3x Akasa 140mm fans to go on the 420mm radiator. Not painting the other 3 Akasa fans that will be pulling air away from the radiator out of the case; as they are completely hidden.

And Corsair high static pressure high performance fans for 360mm rad.

I think it is gonna push back things by a week may be. Options are:

1. Get a bigger case as OcUK are happy to accept the return even though it is out of 14 days period. If I go for a different case then will look for something, which can atleast hold 480mm and 420mm rads. In that case I will buy a 480mm rad to go with 420mm and will not use 240mm and 120mm radiators.
2. Get the same case (may be in white color)
3. Not bother with LEDs /external lighting; just turn them off and keep the case and crack on with the project :-(

Well I think I am going to keep the case. I like it and with regards to LED's, I will find a solution or else turn them off. I have planned everything around this case and changing it now may delay things. I just can't wait to finish this build :-)
