If that doesn't do it, nothing will!

yes and as i said i have used detergents, etc; which really isn't something one will like to put through rads. But to no avail. Well may be I can keep these rads for a future project where I am feeling funny again and want to use red dye. I have three rads from my previous loop affected by this including a hardware labs sr-1 560mm rad. But since I don't want to mount radiator externally, I bought the 420mm rad to replace it already.

so what do you guys recommend. 420mm and 240mm will just be enough to keep cpu and 2x gpus happy? shall i drop the additional 120mm rad?

As a hand-rule you can cool a single chip with 120*120mm radiator (with no overclock). You would need 360 for that. The 420 already has more surface area and you have a 240 on top of that. You should be good.

yes and another basic indicator is wattage that needs dissipation. I think one 120mm per 150w is the sort of guideline. My CPU has a TDP of 88w but it will be overclocked so as a worst case scenario I will assume 150w, which in real world work / gaming it will never hit.

each of my hof 980 card can easily go past 300watt when overclocked and yes I will be pushing them that far if possible. so we are looking at 300+300+150=750 (and some heat dump from the two pumps). So feels like that 420mm+240mm is just right for the job.

I have another bright idea. I am going for 420mm and 360mm rad. 420mm rad is going in top of the case. Phanteks Enthoo Luxe cant take another triple rad in front or bottom. So I spent sometime messing around with 5.25" bays in front. And I managed to unscrew more than dozen of screws to remove the 5.25" cage, which means I will not be able to install my BD-RW drive but I really dont use it much and I have a spare external drive sitting around if required.

So here are a few images of 5.25" bays cage removal to fit 360mm rad in front.

After the cage detached, I noticed that all the case front panel cables were going through it. Took another 15 minutes to disconnect the cables and connect them back properly

And finally success. The cage is out and I can fit the 360mm radiator. Now I need to order one.

yes looked at it but it doesn't say specifically if dye stains can be removed. I have already put crazy things through rads like washing powder to carpet cleaner  . and nothing changed. I am in giving up mode on this.

New rad time. :D

It might be worth dropping Mike from Mayhem's an e-mail and see what he says.
It's always possible he can help.

Great looking build, can't wait to see how it turns out.

If you're looking at new rads the new EK rads seem to do really well in reviews.

thanks mate. I will probably get in touch with Mayhems but later. For now I will prefer to get a 360mm rad as I have already created space for it and will hopefully result in a cleaner setup. I will look at EK rads. :)

Good choice, I too have a 360mm in the top of the case (Same layout as yours). Did you have any issues removing the drive cages as mine were stuck in good :D

Excellent work :)

na mate. drive cages came out with relative easy. But it needed a bit of working around the 5.25" cage (which is not suppose to come out anyway). But now I do not have anywhere to mount two HDD's. There are two mounting points for SSD in cable management area at the back. Now thinking of how to securely install HDD's. Also I have to live without the BD-RW and use an external drive when necessary.

Plus I am using push/pull on both rads. This makes space really tight in front for a hdd cage to be re-installed. And I am going to use any remaining space between the rad and the psu for two pumps.

I removed the 5.25" cage from my case as well. To be honest I like the idea of the SSD's being out of sight in the back as it will make the cables look cleaner. As for the HDD would they also mount in the back? I'm surprised you are still using optical drives, only time I use them is when installing games over 20GB :D
