Psymonkee is getting thinner....

oops! Sorted now!

Well on target today calorie wise but a lack of exercise as I had both pairs of my joggers in the wash which only just finished 30 mins ago!

On the back shift tomorrow so plenty of time in the morning to redeem myself with some deadlifts!

Epic lie in was had which only left time for rowing this morning. Gotta stop watching basketball till 4am!

2km again today and a little faster than last time (~9 secs fact fans :p)

Calories just over 2000 for the day. Happy with that :)

Bad nights sleep led to an extra nap after work so no exercise today :(

Food wise I kept within calorie limits from what I can tell but I did end up going out for several drinks and I haven't a scooby what I had so no real way of tracking it. Rare treat though :)

effectively the end of my first week and all good so far :)

It is FACT that your body does not process food as much while you are sleeping as what it does when you are awake.

While digestion may slow down when you're asleep why would that make a difference? It will be digested at some point exactly the same as it would if you ate it at any other time, it doesn't magically become hugely calorie laden and push you over your target intake and lead to fat gain.
Eat whenever you like it makes no difference as long as you stick to your kcal goal.
Timing carbs around bed time can actually be beneficial and lead to better sleep.

Ooo random mini debate :D

Don't worry - drunken me only exists about 4 times a year at best so the devastation should be fairly minimal :)

Another day lacking exercise (tired - I guess from crappy alcohol fueled unconsciousness!) but coming in at just a hair over 2000 calories. Slow and steady, right?

Calories today will be around the 2000 mark after a meaty based midnight snack whilst watching the basketball today.

No rowing or lifting due to a rushed start this morning, a silly shift finish time followed by dinner as soon as I got in and a sore knee.

I did however WALK home for lunch - it's not far at a staggering 0.4 miles but I managed it in 10 mins including a couple of stops for the aforementioned knee. Not been able to walk desperately far for some time due to back pain so this has been something of a revelation in a little over a week!

PROGRESS! :D

Make sure you get to bed earlier - follow a routine.

If you let your routine slip, you'll let everything else slip, and you'll end up getting nowhere or going slowly. I don't mean to be too harsh, but following a routine will help you keep to a discipline which is what is needed.

How often are you weighing in? I'm looking forwad to hearing how much you've lost.

So far no weigh in schedule as my scales won't register a weight for me. As soon as that happens though I'll be onto regular weigh ins :)

I remember you from the west Wales lan. Good luck chap!

BEST. LAN. EVER! (I'm still sorry about the Guitar Hero/Rock Band obsession I started :p)

A routine is the thing I struggle with most sadly :(

Rubbish work hours (majority 10 - 7) combined with me not being a morning person and eating dinner with the family as I get home makes a mess of things. Might need to try and change some of that.

The late nights are purely down to my love of Basketball (NBA) which only seems to air at silly o'clock - I only stay up for my teams games and then only when I have a day off afterwards :)

It's something I need to look into and really decide on though...

Yeah, you cost me a lot of money!

Glad to see you're sorting yourself out mate. Let me know if you ever need a chat.

If you want a weigh in, most GP clinics should have some professional scales you can use for free.
