There is. They could provide access just like the MM section which only allows members with a post count of 1000 or 100 if you are an older member. They should be able to create a section which is accessible by anyone who joined before 2021 or 2020.

e bought a certain amount of items, or spent a certain amount of money over the years to buy these gpus?

We are in the process of creating a new forum which will be similar to MM but will have a different access criteria. This has already been mentioned multiple times in this thread and the previous one.
 
@Gibbo, I'm currently talking to customer services regarding the Powercolor Fighter card I received from the first drop, unfortunately it was dead on arrival, it's on it's way back to you now, they have said I can take a refund or I'll get sent another card when stock becomes available but unsurprisingly they can't tell me when that will be as they don't know.

I have asked if I could pay the difference and get one of these Sapphires as a replacement instead, they tell me that I'd have to get refunded for the Fighter and ordered one of these and wait again, not that I even could have course. I cannot face going to the back of the queue again or sitting in one without having any idea how long it will be, I just can't. Please can you make it possible to, use one of the cards from the cancelled orders from these low life scalpers to replace my dead card? ...I'm damned if I am going to the back of the queue again or back out into the cold now I've managed to order something, only been trying since September :(

Also I was asked to call sales as the customer services person couldn't do what I was asking, fine, I spent 22 minutes waiting listening to a telephone message telling me I shouldn't call and the wait could be over an hour, I've had to get off the line as I don't have time for this as I am at work myself. Shouldn't customer services actually be sorting this stuff out for the customer once contact has been made either through the web or otherwise ?

I'm feeling quite frustrated right now, wait unknown amount of time or take a refund isn't acceptable to me, not when I know there is another way to handle this.

To be clear, I don't care weather I get a replacement Fighter or the Sapphire Nitro I do not use a windowed side panel so makes no difference to me, I know one is more expensive and I am willing to pay that difference, I really don't care which I get I just want the dead card replaced as soon as humanly possible.

Just out of interest will these ship tomorrow now for delivery Wednesday or do we have to wait a few days?

Also I have sent a Webnote as my mobile number is incorrect on my order, I have changed it via my shop account so hopefully it will be OK, all other details are fine, it's just for some reason it's pulled through a mobile number that I've not had in over 10 years
 
He was talking about cards from the MM only offer, so I'd have thought they'd have used their free shipping from forum account + name there? Obviously you can't act if you aren't sure.
They aren't actively linked so we can't. otherwise it would be a lot easier to ban people from our forums for Scalping

Because they aren't actively linked I can't see which forum account generated which order. (currently)

I'd of said this is a plausible way to resolve it, it logically makes sense... ultimately its up them on how they deal with it (generally returns/refund policies get in the way) :( hope you get this resolved dude.
 
Nice to see someone trying to actually ensure cards go to customers rather than scalpers/oportunists... This goes against my own interest as I've been trying to buy a GPU at a fair price for the last months, but I would have done it for old members only really, or members above a certain number of messages. Once you can't sell any more cards this way, I would open it to the rest of us. You are gonna get many new members otherwise, and you can be sure people is gonna share your code...

I picked up one of the Nitro 6700xt's from earlier today (long time lurker/customer, a never-poster) - was getting cold feet as I was greedily sidegrading from my 3070 (am getting CPU throttled on its drivers) - happy to cancel mine if it'd end up to someone like you but not sure if logistics/staff can make it work?

That's a really nice thing to say but I wouldn't ask that of someone, I think I'm just running into the situation where the person I am talking to does not have the authority necessary to make those kind of decisions or manipulate the ordering system and instead of forwarding the case to someone who does they are asking me to chase around myself.
 
Yes, today alone I've banned at least a dozen people from future orders based on being able to track back Facebook and Ebay listings for last week's deals.

The MM deals aren't safe from scalpers unfortunately.

If I find one for sale that was obviously bought here on this deal, do I link to it on here for you to check? Or where?

I don't want a load of public man hunting. Unless they stupidly admit buying from us there's no way for you to be sure.

As evident from this thread which contains at least six listings made before our deal was announced, we're not the only source for this card and people jump to conclusions too easily.

Its really good you guys are doing this - OCUK going the extra mile here. Cant imagine anyone else making this much effort to get these into the hands of gamers
