This game contains approx 3 hours of skippable cut scenes (24 mins x 4 episodes per each playthru for the main TV episodes of which there are 40 different episodes to get through if you can be bothered to replay until you have made all the different branching choices) this means each playthru has around 96 mins of the stuttering streaming live action tv episodes to watch and another 45-60 mins of pre-rendered CGI cutscenes where Remedy chose to do that instead of letting the game engine render the scenes (probably because the XB1 could not handle these more complex areas).

Leaving the cutscenes aside there is about 6 hours gameplay which consists of:

Hit this button or that button.
Use time powers to see which button to hit.
Tedious firefights using time powers to always win (your virtually invincible).
Running from point A to B using time powers to make it in time.
Find hidden objects with time powers & use to boost your time powers.
Chose cutscene A or B based on previous choices.

And that's about it for 6 hours. Even if the game was technically flawless & looked like a recent PC game with sharp detailed graphics it has serious design issues as its more of an interactive movie with a shallow game tacked on than a proper game.

The game does have a few tremendous areas where the stunning graphics have to be seen with your own eyes
1 has a train popping constantly out of a time fracture into the lobby your in another has a bridge being ripped apart by a ship whilst your on it & then you have to dodge the steel debris and another has a shipyard collapsing around you whilst you use your time powers to dodge it & survive.
These moments look absolutely stunning unlike anything you have ever seen before in a video game but sadly the rest is pretty mundane & most of its pretty average overall.

Shame on Remedy for going down this route gameplay is sadly lacking its barely worth a tenner let alone £44.99 (XB1 version is only £39.99 & looks identical apart from the screen tearing).

They also have an article up now ripping it to shreds. This in particular suggests amazing levels of incompetence:

60 frames per second isn't possible on a 60Hz monitor: The most serious problem with this port lies in its performance limitations - currently, we've determined that it simply isn't possible to reach frame-rates matching the refresh rate of the monitor in use. The maximum frame-rate seems to be limited to 5/6th of the refresh rate - this means, when using a 60Hz monitor, the game simply cannot go beyond 50 frames per second. We even tried it with a Core i7 system paired with Titan X running at 720p on the lowest settings, but 50fps was still the limit - and the same thing applies to AMD GPUs too. The resulting frame-time graph sees the game bouncing between 16.7 and 33ms throughout the experience - even with the most powerful PC hardware available. With a 50Hz refresh rate then, you'll be limited to just 43fps. When using a 120Hz or 144Hz monitor, the maximum frame-rate obviously increases, but you can't achieve a level of performance that results in consistent, level frame-times. As far as we can tell, a judder-free experience is impossible at the moment without a patch from Remedy. This is something we've never seen before, but we've reproduced the issue on two different PCs running four different graphics cards.

It also says that Nvidia's drivers are a mess with it right now, with stability problems and an R9 390 performing ~50% better than a GTX 970.

Curse for nvidia, AMD killing them in this and GOW both DX12. Goes to show investing in AMD pays off in the long term.

The Xbone has an AMD GPU and given the weird emulation / port is not really surprising - at least Nvidia are quick with driver updates normally - QB isn't really a good advert for AMD either way given the reviews in this thread.

At first i thought this game looks pretty impressive and the gfx looked awesome, but now not so much, also interrupting the game for nearly 2 hours of live action fmv!? What a load of tosh, what is this, the 90's? Actually this is worse you didn't get 25 mins of continuous fmv in the 90's with no interaction whatsoever!

Neither Denuvo nor it being a windows app have made a difference after all, i was just reading that it's been pirated already.
