Is all the sand / mud etc on the road from where there has been a lot of horses, or has it been put down for some specific reason?

Yeah, last time I went was 20-odd years ago - certainly before iPhone. It would be nice to visit all these places again knowing that you can look up more information about the history of your surroundings at any time.

I think I have seen more of London in these last few days than I have ever had before, on TV, film, pictures etc.
 
All these world leaders in one place would a terrorist strike ever be possible or is the security too good, I know how secret is the best in world but it takes one mistake?

Miles upon miles of security and every phone being monitored probably makes it impossible for anyone other than a state actor.
