Queen Elizabeth II has passed away - keep posts civil and respectful

Look, a hard man. If that was your kid taking a beating for roller skating, I bet you would have something to say.
What a weird outlook.....what do you honestly expect the police to do, let the chap keep roller blading towards the motorcade? Seriously? I have kids, and if they were doing what he did I'd be having serious parental words.... as much as he may like roller blading surely it was obvious the situation was not usual. I'm absolutely sick of all the people who cry wolf at the earliest opportunity, there is a big real world out there and it's not all rose and petals, common sense is required. The guy looked a lot older than a kid though based on the images above and seemed very compos mentis from the video, so I've got no sympathy whatsoever.

A "young boy"

Yeah no, looks like university at youngest and he's shaving.

But for sure he's trying it on dodging police and signs to get on the motorcade road then squealing some tripe for the cameras.

Conservatism is inevitable as you age.
That really depends on someone's accumulation of wealth whether or not the change their economic stance. Social/Cultural beliefs probably do stagnate in someone's 20's/30's but that's not assured for everyone.

Imagine the absolute hammering the police would get, if that had been someone who wanted to harm the king, who’d managed to get to the motorcade and performed a terror attack or something.

Or, given how fast he was going, collided with the ongoing motorcade and got himself injured as a result.

Good job Police. I'm not a big fan of the Met but here they acted professionally and correctly.

He had already dodged about 6 police men and clearly went through the road closed signs. No sympathy for him. Police did their job well.

The lady on the tiki-took video had the right idea.. “shoot him". LOL.

I could be charitable and imagine that he might have got in to the road initially without realising, but as he went along started panicking and went for it not wanting to get in trouble but simply miscalculated as the barriers closed in, but even if this was the case, the Police handled it correctly.

skateboard boy will be a good police learning exercise, with inability to use guns close to crowd, their choices are limited, medieval weaponry like a pike could be useful.
