Queen Elizabeth II has passed away - keep posts civil and respectful

Probably because everywhere is closed. Not much to do for those that aren't fussed. I'm almost out of tea bags and bog roll
I have ran out of sugar, bread, about half a cup of milk left, 1 and half bog roll and a few grams of baccy left. I have 3 kids to feed in the morning before school and get their pack ups done, no way I am draggin all 3 to the local off licence at 5 when it opens, hope the wife gets back from work before the local tesco petrol station closes.
I heard from someone that Boots is meant to be open till 4pm (But don't know if true)

i just looked up my local boots
Special store opening times:
Mon 19/09/22 10:00 - 16:00

Pmsl, really? You live under a rock? Hahahaha

Bit daft leaving it to this level especially with kids involved in normal circumstances let alone today.... Guessing the shops closing today came as a surprise?
I didnt expect my middle kid stack the bog rolls next to the bath and all fall in gettign wet yesterday at bath time, the bread i had was a last day thing from lidl a day ago so went stale pretty fast had to bin it. Milk was used up over yesterday more due to having to make a different meal for the kids. So yeah we had enough, but you know, kids, they can change things.

nah, cant' see that, Dianas funeral was watched by 2.5 billion
Has this been proven or just a newspaper headline? What proportion of North and South Americans are getting up in the middle of the night to watch the funeral? I'd suggest not a huge amount. The guy I referred to specialises in Sports TV and said that India pulls in 300m viewers for it's biggest cricket matches at prime time - would as many, let alone double, tune in for the funeral when they're currently still at work?

50+% of the world's population is simply not realistic when many are either asleep or at work during it. If the 2.5bn for Diana and 4bn for the Queen's is simply based on those that caught 30 seconds on the news then yea but it won't be close to that number in terms of actual viewers.

You can't really compare cricket to the Queen.
