Queen Elizabeth II has passed away - keep posts civil and respectful

When do we start referring to her as the King Mother?
We don't, the Queen Mother was the title bestowed by the reigning queen to her mother following the death of a previous monarch, her father.

I suppose in alt reality that if Prince Philip had outlived his wife, he could have become the King Father. Highly unlikely in all scenarios.

1% chance she's croaked it already imho, didn't they resuscitate Phil 3 or 4 times while reporting he was "in good spirits" for about a month beforehand? Reading between the lines they've got a lot riding on the Jubilee so they'll announce it afterwards.

Its a bit of a fly in the ointment of all the celebrations if she's nowhere to be seen, wonder if they're on the line to the couple of studio's about CGI at least for the television audience. How busy are Ardman?

I'd quite like her to disband the government or do something that's legally within her power but not been done before to try and right this entire political **** show we have going on...

As she's (somewhat distantly) related to Boris I don't think this is any more likely to occur than her changing name by deed poll or setting fire to Parliament :) But you never know my late mother went gaga and did some truly odd things that in hindsight were rather amusing.

Except this is a democratically elected government, so any such interference would essentially sign the death warrant of the monarchy. We’ve seen worse governments than this before. It’s the same with every government, but people have short memories and forget…certainly nothing enough to warrant the monarch disbanding the government.

As for the Queen, I think it is looking unlikely she will make her own Jubilee at this rate. She’s clearly given the nation everything she could over an entire lifetime.

Didn't the queen have some influence on tax legislation such that her accounts could be protected, equally when Charles is King, does he have put his Duchy stuff under independant management (kinda like trump did)

We've effectively entered a Regency

When was the last time a monarch dismissed parliament? 1645? its been a while the civil war effectively ended that formality while the right exists in law its effectively dead

I'd like her to do something bizarre before we lose her, to show the imbecility of modern Britain, such as to announce she's now transgender and to be known as the King ;)

I had to chuckle earlier at The Telegraph video with the title: "Queen's Speech: Prince Charles opens Parliament for the first time as Queen" at which point the title cuts off because it is too long.

Well, she's obviously not "fine" else she wouldn't be missing these appointments.

But I'm not worried about her, at 96 it's perfectly normal to be on your last legs!
indeed..i hope i have as good as innings as she has had.... when she goes she goes. I dont bear the royals any ill will, they probably bring in more money to the country than they cost us, but equally cest la vie. it still sticks in my craw an article in a news paper years ago about the queen mother, Britains most loved grandmother!!!! sod that no she wasnt!.

I do hope she lasts past the jubilee bank holiday....... that way we get another day off work of mourning perhaps when the time comes........ if she pops off now they may roll it into 1.
