The halo head strap I ordered from Aliexpress on 3rd Jan is now, apparently, in the UK. I hope this is accurate as I do not like the standard strap one bit.

It probably will still fit, as the padding at the bottom of the strap is too flimsy and doesn't provide much support. It could've done with a more rigid frame/strap behind the padding.

Wow I thought it was because I bought a cheaper 3rd party one, it's still usable and better then the stock one so think I'll just put up with it for now as fixing it seems like a nightmare.

join the club i hate the stock strap with a Vengeance
now ive replaced it with the halo strap from China, its much better

The tracking says mine cleared customs at Heathrow yesterday evening so hopefully it’ll be here in the next few days.

VRCovers have their face cover in stock on the EU website. I assume it’s the same one, it looks the same using the same pictures, but it’s got a different name. I just ordered one.

Did everyone who ordered from VR Covers get theirs, I just got a notification email saying it was back in stock so ordered mine. However in the back of my mind I was thinking some still hadn't received their original order so wondering where to set my expectations on arrival date.

Edit: Just noticed ElliorR already mentioned it...

Yeah got mine, much better than stock. Technically should be quicker after christmas but with Covid and Brexit I am not so sure!

Hopefully! I guess we'll see in due time. It might work as a frame to hold a battery pack though.

@Razor-BladE In the video it didn't really look sturdy enough to be a frame, but if you taped the battery to the back of it, it would provide some cushioning.

Ok cool. I bought some Velcro tape so will have a mess around once it arrives.

This is a slightly different version which, like the elite strap, has a more sturdy lower portion that will provide more support and cup the back of the head.

For those who have the VRCover face pad how long after getting shipping noticed did you receive it? As I got my halo head strap, from China, in 5 days I hope the VRCover comes in a similar timeframe but for some reason I’m not hopeful. Once I have it my setup will almost be complete, I just need to sort out the external battery and how to make it as seamless as possible.

Talking of the halo head strap, what a difference it makes, now I have it pretty much adjusted to how it gives me the best of all worlds. A few songs of Beat Saber and a few rounds of boxing in FitXR and it feels nice and secure on my head.
