Quest 2 accessories - recommendations, reviews etc

Have scanned through this thread but there's so much going on it's hard to decide what is actually needed. I'd like to make my Quest 2 as comfortable as, and also to block out the light as well as, my G2.

Is this possible? If so, what would I need, and how cost effectively could I achieve this?

The cost soon mounts up when you start adding accessories.

The best route is pretty expensive. About £100!
(Approx prices)
Oculus Elite headstrap £50
VR Cover front facial interface £30
VR Cover rear pad for elite headstrap £20

There are more cost effective facial interfaces and straps (AMVR and Kiwi design do good ones) but the quality can be variable.

Thanks. What's the benefit of the pad for the Elite strap - does it dig into the back of your head without it?

Try it with stock at first, plenty of people are fine with the stock strap.

I've been using at stock, and find it uncomfortable in comparison to the G2. But it's much better for lots of games due to wireless and much better controllers. Just started playing Asgard's Wrath but have to stop after around half an hour as it is too uncomfortable, whereas I can keep going forever with the G2.

If you don't want to spend £70 on a head strap & pad, the generic Chinese straps are very good for the money (<£20 each on Ali Express). There's one that's like the Elite Strap, and there's also a halo strap (not tried that one, but see a lot of positive stuff about it).

Just got an Email from MVH Studios saying I could order their head strap. So I did!!

I was no. 55 in the Queue at the start of November.

So if anyone else is waiting on this head strap suggest you check your emails, they might have contacted you.

Same here. Order placed - finally!

Curious to see what the universal battery pack mount is. Don't think that was an option before? Hopefully saves me from needing to order a new pack though.

I noticed that when reading through :D, made me curious as well, but I'm still happier to actually have mine (and for £10 less!). It's still the audio option that I'd like to see turn up though!

that looks good actually

it actually looks like it will sit "underneath" that ridge at the back of your head, which is where you want/need it (like the Quest 1)

I've got one, and I think it really helps with the comfort. Coupled with the VR Cover front pad it makes it easier to take the headset on and off without fiddling with the adjustment dial.
