Quest 2 Facebook leak - XR2 chipset, 6gb RAM, "almost 4k display"

Well I've just had to create my Facebook account (something I have never wanted) so I can use the Quest 2. Here's hoping it doesn't get banned! What was scary is that it immediately suggested as friends close family members, colleagues and some people I know on the internet but have never been in personal contact with! Just shows that even without a Facebook account they already know a lot about you.

I plan to only use it for logging into Oculus.

It really is. You can set your account to mostly private too, thing is, if your partner/mother/father/sister/friend etc is a big facebooker, and tags you a lot, then it's easy enough to learn plenty about you regardless, by just looking through their feed instead.

I was selling my old graphics card on Facebook marketplace, and had an interested seller, but he obviously had high privacy settings, but it was easy enough to find his wife's facebook account and find out that he is in fact someone who puts together systems to sell on. Made me far happier to sell to him.
 
I used to have a facebook account quite a few years ago, was good for catching up with old friends, but got tired of it all, so closed my account.
But now I need (apparently) a facebook account. Really in two minds what to do, I'm hoping it all gets changed.
 
The only person I've friended is my daughter who is at Uni, and then only as a 'token' friend so the algorithm is (hopefully!) less likely to ban me.

More than likely just linking on your email address.
 
Changed my order this morning and thought I had lost my place.

But, just got my dispatch notice, so I will get it in a couple of days, hopefully Wednesday.

They're coming directly from the manufacturer according to their website. I'm unsure how this works exactly as it seems they're not using Yodel (Oculus seem to be), so maybe they are actually stocking them directly.

Yeah it was an odd one, but a decent price, quick delivery and their customer support is a good combo.
