Quest 3 owners etc

Noticed they're both on sale so was going to ask which one you recommend. Helpful to know your thoughts!

Think I might pick up Runner as it's only £4 and I like the concept/aesthetic.

Anything else on Xmas sale just now that folk would recommend?

Things I've earmarked to buy at the end of the week (if they don't appear on Meta Quest+) are Swarm 2 (Swarm 1 is also on sale and brilliant) and We Are One. Swarm 1 and We Are One both have trials which have me convinced.

I'm also probably going to buy Assassin's Creed VR.

Apex Construct is also down to 99p and looks good. Also has a trial, but I haven't tried it.

Got the Iniu link cable today. Will be nice to use that instead of relying on my WiFi.

Got my parents and my other halfs mum to have a go as well. First Encounter was very popular. Didn't cause any motion sickness at all as the room is still partially visible.

Been playing a lot of Waplanes WW1. No motion sickness from it at all anymore. Still get a little from non teleporting movement.
Picked up one of these as well, think it was recommended in the accessories thread (possibly by you)
Had a play today and all as working well, then got a USB disabled error due to 'moisture' or something detected. Anyone had issues like this? Some suggest it's firmware issue, but it could also be power

That looks cool, and for 99p, worth a shot.

Wasn't by me. I saw it recommended on a 'essential Quest 3 accessories' youtube video. Used it a for a few hours now and it's working fine for me. Only using the original power plug and cable that the quest came with as have heard stories about melting usb ports.

I tried to play HL:Alyx yesterday using Virtual Desktop, with my PC on in another room. I kept getting stutters, and if I turned my head quickly it's like the image was delayed and I just saw lots of black. Basically it was unplayable.

I only have a basic Virgin Media WiFi setup with the Super Hub 4 (I think, which I believe is a WiFi 5 router). Could this be the issue? Would WiFi 6 make that much difference? Is it worth me asking VM for a Super Hub 5 as that is WiFi 6. They don't have anything that is 6E currently and I want to avoid spending money.

I don't have access to all my settings to share right now but just curious if anyone else has experienced this before and knows a simple solution?

Buy another router and keep you existing one and set it up as an access point perhaps

I've got the main sky box downstairs, wired to mine up stairs , I have a router in my room , headset is wireless to my router

Weirdly when I tried MFS2024 with VD I didn't have any issues at all. It's only when I played HL yesterday that it did it.

I don't really want to spend any money on new hardware so I'll try again today and see if it's better, if not I'll just play wired.

I'm using an old Netgear Orbi set up as an access point in my room which is connected (wired) to my main router downstairs. The Orbi gives me 700 Mbps which is quite enough but would probably be rubbish for VR if it was in another room.
