Questions on racism

Can someone of mixed race (one parent being black and the white) allowed to say ****** in your eyes?

And I'll think you'll find most blacks (except the "youth") find the term offensive even if it is towards their own race.

Definition of Racism:
1 : a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race
2 : racial prejudice or discrimination

If I owned a business and I selected people NOT of my own race based ON RACE, this isn't racist? If you answer no, then please post your definition to what racism is!

It's not racist to say ******, if you are black yourself. How can you be racist, to your own race?

I agree. But black people are not one large block of people. There are many different countries that black people come from. I cannot understand why it isn't racist for a British Black to say ****** to a West Indian black or say someone from Zimbabwe to say it to someone from Cameroon.

As a white person I can be racist towards another white person. If that person is French, German, American, etc. So why is it not racist for a black person to say ****** to another black person. Are all black people the same? Do they not come from different countries across the world?

Of course if one black man approached another black man by calling him a ******, he might get a beating, but certainly not because the second guy felt he was being insulted because of his race.

If they are from different countries then why should it not?

And yep, it is equally as bad if any non black person says the word, it's not magically worse because white people say it. You shouldn't use racial slurs at all, why is there a need to? As I said, I wouldn't find it acceptable for me to call my white friends cracker or honky etc

Then why do hip hop artists use it. And by me merely rapping along with them, does it automatically make me racist. this is the question I have been asking.

I think hip hop artists are trying to reclaim the word. Just as gays did with queer. The more the words offends the more the extremists will use it. Language is fluid and dynamic.

It isn't even the word itself that is offensive. It is the way people react to it. If people stopped being offended by it then the word would stop being offensive.
