this sometimes happens on the A13 junction of the m25 just after the dartford tunnel

I've seen many a car come flying past the queue to leave the m25 and end up just stuck on the chevrons :D

I do this because unlike the sheep who sit in the inside lane for 600 yards, I can actually read the highway code which quite clearly states you should merge in turn at the obstruction.

This, unless it specifically says "get in lane" or "stay in lane".

It tends to upset the people who don't read the highway code though, who then try to stop you from merging in turn. The irony is, they think they're in the right, when in fact they are not.

I love the responses from the tearful BMW self obsessive tossers who want everyone to clear out the lane then let them merge in without thinking then they get to the front. Scum of the earth.

I won't draw the link between people who think its their duty to 'block' the lane and white vans with copies of The Sun in, because that would be snobbish and stereotypical..

Yes, it would ;) Funnily enough the last person to near enough put me into the barrier whilst merging in turn was driving a 5 series BMW :P

It's strange how a subject which is so easy to understand can be such an emotive subject for some. Some of you guys really have a problem with the correct way of doing things - why? If you feel so strongly about it have you considered lobbying the government to change the highway code and remove merge in turn?

Or would you prefer to just abuse those doing things correctly? :p

He must have been delivering it, if he was a real BMW driver he would have been behind you, 2mm off your bumper, flashing his lights.

People like him are enormously frustrating not to mention dangerous.

If you are talking about queueing to leave a Motorway and there is only one lane off it then obviously you sit in that lane and wait - to do anything else is dangerous.

I remember when you worked in Exeter and you did pretty much the exact same thing "every single day".

situation was a large roundabout with 1 lane turning off and mr fox going right to the end of the queue in the lane to the right and cutting in at the last moment ;)

here:

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&s...7701,-3.536356&spn=0.000619,0.001206&t=h&z=20

you can see that due to the bus lane, only 1 lane is meant to turn off, not 2.

hahaha I love winding people up who can't drive, IN MY BMW :D
