Queue Position 1, 5600X

Just had my "in stock" "being shipped on monday" order cancelled at a competitor, even after ringing to confirm it was a real order and having that confirmed by a person. I can't be bothered anymore. Won't bother with the 6800xt launch either. no point.

U weren't told anything u just assumed that topic subject from amd conference day was accurate but it's been told numerous times that it's actually 2pm. Need to pay more attention I guess since majority of ppls had no such issues

The topic literally tells us the time, while it's a fairly trivial issue it's still unreasonable to expect people to read through 100's of pages of threads to correct information they had no reason to believe was incorrect.

Let's hope no one ever gives you the wrong information and you then have to listen to someone lecture you on it being your fault for not doing more research (and before you respond my chip should be here next week).

20th isn't too bad! 2 weeks is nice compared to the 3080 wait happening

Oh yeah sure this is the time we live in where everyone need to be taken by a hand and each time they miss out on something someone else is there to blame on... Where is people responsibility ? Yes the subject was wrong but it was created nearly 1 month before the release date and the confusion was created by amd themselves when they quoted wrong time zone. It was fixed under 24h later. Yet any responsible person who was interested in purchasing those went into soooo much trouble to check if that information was correct in that soooo short 1 month that we all had. I'm not sorry for those few guys that missed out. And no u don't need to check 100+ pages of forums uncle Google give u answer in under 10 seconds...
Oh and before u respond my chip is already on my desk...

Can't complain! Gibbo stated in another thread that they are expecting large deliveries soon as well so the 20th looks solid.

I already ordered and received MSI X570 Tomahawk before it went out of stock, have a Z63 cooler and 32g of Crucial Ballistix 3600 ready and waiting.

Can't wait to replace the creaky 6700k/1080 non ti combo.

I did have a Strix 3090 on pre order, but being stuck at nearly 300 in the queue with no end in sight led to me pulling the order, likely going to go with the 6900xt and go all team red.

This isn't about blame, no one is looking for a scapegoat, you're just being unreasonable about it. Going by your logic it's OK to be told the wrong time then have a random person lecture you later for being told the wrong thing.

Responsible? It's just a CPU, not everyone can or wants to spend time on a forum double checking information they have on reason to doubt.

What I find odd about your argument is you're insistent they should have gone off and checked the information again but why would they doubt the information they've been given? I only found out because I'm reading these threads, without that I wouldn't have known and would have gone off the information I already had.

No need for petty one-upmanship, I only clarified I have one on the way so you couldn't argue I was just saying these things because I missed the window. Don't get so wound up over some bits of kit.

Yeah I'd hate to be stuck waiting months for a 3080, my 1070 is feeling a bit tired though. :D

I hope AMD nail the 6000 series launch, I would love any excuse not to give Nvidia more money. The new CPU will be good and I'm looking forward to it but replacing my monitor and graphics card will be the real upgrades (hopefully?).

What cpu did you go for?

5900X here ordered at 17:15 position 570. I was that late because I'm currently running a 7 year old CPU and making big payments for stuff makes me apprehensive.

My MoBo wont be here until earliest 27th of Nov so I'm honestly not feeling too gibed by this.

I ordered a 5600x, got the confirmation through and said the order was at exactly 14:06 [Edit: it shows this on my account].

I have had absolutely nothing through since then. No shipping confirmation, no pre order placement... No idea what is going on. Just want to know what's going on with my order :(

Look I don't try to argue. Just said my point of view u said yours we don't need to convince one another who's right. All I'm saying is that it wasn't OCUK fault that AMD initially told EVERYONE wrong release time.
The only OCUK fault here was that they never adjusted topic subject. If someone really wanted to buy one here they had all time in the world to make sure this time was correct especially with literally every other retailer selling them at 2pm. It's just common sense. We all seen what happened with ampere release, nobody could have expected they gonna get one of those procesors without putting little bit of effort into it.
And yes I seen so many comments from people crying over the 5pm thing as if it was the end of the world.
Let's just agree we disagree and move on

how do u see what number queue are u in?

I received an email from OC with the number quite prominent. I'm now bloody checking my emails about every 20 minutes for an update from OC.

Building a PC is highly addictive and turns you into a YouTube, reddit, OC forum, amazon, hotdealsuk, ************ etc etc junky!
