Quick Diablo 2 and LOD Question

Can anyone help me understand multiplayer game over battlenet? :o

So I plan to play this with me and a buddy, however he is still not available yet to play :mad: lol so just created a game over battlenet (just as a test)

Given the game a name and a password...dont want any pvp just pve with a buddy.

I have spoken to everyone and have the quest of The Den of Evil (first quest) just outside of the camp into: Bloodmoor

So having nothing to do I basically cleaned this area of ghouls and goblins..I havnt done the quest yet as still waiting for friend to join..so I quit the game and upon returning....all those minions are back in Bloodmoor?? :eek:

It still has my saved progress/items/quest incomplete but am wondering am I doing anything wrong if I have cleansed this area before? does EVERYTHING spawn back upon logging off including quests? :(

Yep thats the way d2 plays, once you quit they are back

Takes a bit of getting used to, basically the idea is that you make sure you complete quests and find the waypoints which let you bypass mobs en route to other ones.
 
got the mod working :) It looks fantastic!

Now just to work out why I cant set it to 1920 x 1200 :) Thanks to those who assisted me in my moment of stupidity

Yep this.

Also you can get "rushed" through the game which bypasses a ton of quests, but thats really only for people who have already completed the game and want to level up, get items etc.

Also worth noting that the map changes. Meaning where you went to get into the Den of Evil, as an example say you went south, will more than likely have changed location and could be in any direction.
 
That was another great thing about D2 - random maps. Just makes things a little different each time :)

I can't find my LoD disk now tho :/ Found the case, but not the disk...argh...

:eek: Genius! My game has a CD check on it though, hence it wont work without my CD :/ Guessing this doesn't have it...

Doh! Just entered my CD keys for D2 + LoD. Started downloading, thought I'd add my keys for D1 + Hellfire expansion. Only they don't have a key...however I did find my LoD CD in my D1 box :D

I was enjoying this until i got to the act 3, i noticed some awful texture corruption in the monastery entrance looked like the type with an overheating card. The card was only 46C but then it went away as i got away from the entrance . By the time i got to act 3 in the woodland the corruption made the game unplayable , texture spikes all over the place that moved when i did!. But when in the port village nothing!

Me thinks my updated win 7 drivers and gtx260 is too much for this game
