Quick Ford ka question ?

I think it's criminal that Ford managed to make this car for 12 years straight, before getting a Mk.2, hopefully there won't be a Mk.3!

Get a Fez if you want a small 3 door ford.

I drove one for three weeks.

Positives:

- Excellent handling
- Relatively quick

Negatives:

Interior is dull and plasticky. A a lot of metal on show. The glovebox is effectively a hole with a lid which comes completely out.

I'd agree with this summary. The handling and roadholding are good, but it's not a looker. The inside is a bit nasty.

Hate to break it to you, but it's the same engine, just rebranded to fall in line with the rest of the Ford range.

The 2CV, Beetle and Mini (and probably many other cars) sold for far longer than that with only minor changes.

No you're right, it appears they used the Brazilian SOHC Kent derived thing, it's still pretty horrible

Tappets probably need adjusting. I had to readjust mine 4 times in 14 months on my 1.3 Escort.

im thinking and i can see absolutely NO REASON to buy a KA over a fiesta 1.25 (which is at least 2x better) or puma 1.4 (again far better) and there are hundreds of both in the price range. heck why stick to ford, there hunderds of better choices for you

I wouldn't have a 1.4 Puma. The 1.4 engine is really no better than the 1.25.

I think it's been established that the combination of 'Ford Ka' and 'straight' does not compute.

Mainly because it's a Fiat 500 in drag and people are preferring the 500. I still think the new KA is a nice enough city car.

Ok guys im looking for an opinion on this which is a better choice ?

2001 fiesta 1.25 zetec for 3500gbp and 45000miles on the clock
1999 vauxhall corsa 1.4 16v CDX for 2000gbp and 47000miles on the clock

I own a ford ka and i love them great handling cheap insurance and cheap to run.
Great in town and happy to sit at motorway speeds with out revin its head off

as for the there is no space in one in I bought this of bay

stripped it and fitted it in the boot of the Ka and drove home (i,m in N.ire and it was in wales)

As for they its a gay car, are people really that insecure about there sexuality !
I,m glad other males dont rate them (prob because they havent drove) eveyone of my mates has drove mine and love it and they have skylines gto's and an evo or 3. (it is on rally spec coilovers & brakes and the engine is tinkered with).
