Agreed.

As an hgv driver I’ve always dreaded such a situation - thank God it’s yet to happen - I feel for them both, Danny and the trucker.

Neither left home with this outcome in mind, one has gone home to live with it, the other tragically not.

My deepest sympathy and empathy to all concerned and that’s all I have to say for now.

Am I right in thinking that this was the guy that posted a thread in motors that he bought an BMW 335 xdrive which was quiet a while ago now ?

I agree there's no ill intent, nothing more happened other than removing a couple of the posts, that's all. There's a time and a place, and potentially Danny's family might get to see this post, don't think it's appropriate to discuss the finer details here.

Everyone gets stick on here, doesn't mean we don't like each other, hopefully Danny knew this. Or didn't care anyway (I reckon it was the latter :))
 
Very sad news indeed, DannyW is a name I certainly remember from the time I've been a forum member and I'm sure I've exchanged replies with him on certain threads in the past.

RIP Danny, and my condolences to the family during the difficult time.

Dans funeral was today.

A lovely service and a credit to Dan. I got chance to say my final good byes and comfort the family. I even met a few of Dans friends at the drinks after who I will keep in touch with, so even though I’ve tragically lost Dan as a friend I have gained a few more.

I will never forget and I’m sure the community the impact Dan had on everyone and how he would always do things ‘Dans way’

Great service today
Been a long time reader of overclockers and he was always on about pc building,the thing we first began talking about when he became my partner at work
The world is certainly at a loss without him
