If you're on AIB cooling up to +100mv is fine. If you're on reference i prefer to stick at stock voltage or even undervolt.
im using a msi 290x gaming edition now so temps are pretty good
i unlocked voltage in ab and it defaulted to +13 not sure what that meens so what do you recomend to put it to

Its because your card is slightly overclocked at stock i believe. That's its default voltage.
Experiment. Up to +100mv is fine. If you can reach 1130 on stock voltage id aim for around 1200+.

That's normal with these cards.
I get that when I start gaming with my 290X, especially noticable because mine is installed on an open air test bench.
Unless there is smoke don't worry

As long as temps overclocked are below 85c with your AIB card, i wouldn't worry too much.

Also to add to the above it usually a good idea to setup a custom fan profile for when benching, though with the lightning I not sure that's needed and of course make sure to have very good airflow through the case.

after some advice on my Ref 290x
When in BF4 my Vol shows 1.226 and when in windows drops back down to 1.063 is this right ? i have my core voltage at 100mv but can only get max 1150/1450 and even that struggles and crashes
i see people saying they can go to 1.4 ? how ?

Sounds normal. Voltage should drop at idle compared to full load. Using Sapphire Trixxx if you want up to +200mv.

Have you set the power limit at +50%?

Use gpu-z sensor tabs to see if voltage is going up when you add +0v to +100mv.

Haha, i was so impatient that i pre-ordered my 290x and within half an hour of receiving the package, i had tested if it worked on the reference cooler. Within two hours i had rebuilt my loop to include my card. As soon as i got the card up and running i slapped the voltage and power options to max and got going!
