Its a rather niche market really, there's thousands of fans who would like a new F1/Racing sim.

Shame those thousands of fans probably represent 1% of the overall market.

There's loads of things from GRID I would not want to see in the 2009 F1 game. Such as the stupid amounts of HDR and blur used in the game, the totally unrealistic steering (Unless I configured my wheel wrong) and the BMW in GRID goes from 0-60 in 2 seconds, hell that's F1 territory and it can brake from 160mph to 0 in 90 metres which again is F1 territory. So god help them if they get the physics wrong in the F1 game.

But this is expected for a console arcadey ported racer.

If the codies F1 game is anything like this I will be highly annoyed.

It was never trying to be a sim, it's trying to be an arcadey fun racer and I think it achieves that pretty well.

Works fine here. must have the xfi in game mode tho.

Handles the same as the 360 version and tbh on ultra settings 4xmsaa 16xAF I can't tell much of a difference between it and the 360 version. Sure the PC version probably has better reflections and slightly better particle effects but nothing major.

Agreed. Anyone who comes out saying "OMG its a really bad sim, the handlings rubbish and it feels realy arcady" has the complete and utter wrong idea about this game. Its designed to be fun and arcady and simple, and it works.

works fine with my audigy2 in vista 64bit.

only niggle for me is i can't select 1440x900 - but if i select 1280x800 then it does actually display 1440x900 - at least that's what my monitor's OSD says.......

and it runs pretty well considering i only have a meagre gpu.

Not sure if i like it yet, keep spinning the damn car out (I think GTA's ruined my driving skills). Il keep playing

I have had the sound completely drop out on me once so far, just to add.
