Race Driver: Grid

Is the full game out yet?

I am running on the demo and it never seems to save my custom control config :\. Seems to perform ok, 8xaa, 1680x1050, shame there is no other settings, gets laggy in smoke though, so I will stick to 2-4xaa.

Have you used the "Advanced" settings?

You have to set the controls you want in the 'custom' part of the controls menu. I can't get mine to work in the menus though.

That up arrow is for the shift key, not cursor up. Kinda confusing, they could have picked a better key or just put the word 'shift' there.

Now ive finally got used to driving, im really enjoying it ! Multiplayer is a lot of fun, and its always funny watching a massive pile up at the start. May just have to buy it :) Is there anywhere selling it for £17.99 ? Cant find any, but there usually is.

Does anyone know if the final game will have some kind of friends list ? It can see it being a bit tricky playing with friends if there isnt one :( And no voice chat ?

I think there's going to be a way to have private races.

Someone mentioned it in this thread I think. I haven't read anything official though.

Friends list is pretty important to me, plus automatic kicking for anyone who drives more than 20 feet in the wrong sodding direction.

Oi! Leave me alone, I'm new to this online gaming malarky.

Normally, i just play with myself..........erm........you know what I mean. :o
Lol, I kid. Home is one of the more obscure choices to chat, it makes no sense. Why it wouldn't be the universal T is what is really beyond me.

trying to get online :confused:but having problems do you have to register on grid site for pass and stuff.or do you just do it once youve started he game cause i cant get it to login even hough im creating new account.any help would be greatful thanks.

I managed to create an account, join a session etc, but when it asked me to press enter to accept, nothing happens, whereas everyone else accepts and votes to kick me out, as i cant accept.

Anyone else have this issue?

/Edit

Cancel that, from looking at the button i thought i had to press enter, but it isnt, it is right shift, lol.

When i double click the .exe file, it loads into task manager, then just vanishes again for no reason, even safe mode does this. Anyone got this or know how to fix it?

some good news for those who like to play it online came from Uncle Chewy - GRID - Exec Produce

If you were playing with 'damage on' then the person doing the inappropriate colliding, e.g. shunting in the rear to slow down, will get more damage than the car being hit. This doesn't always stop idiots though - nothing will, but it helps.

The full game has private sessions so you can play with like minded people. Don't forget that people kicked from any session will remain kicked from that session forever, which means that with our host migration system (sessions may never die) constant bad drivers will start to run out of sessions to join...

If that isn't enough and if there is enough support for a ghost mode then we can option this for inclusion in the next patch we do.
