Race Driver: Grid

I got the full game today and its awesome.
The demo does not show how good this game is.
The tracks are brilliant and the effects are amazing.
Its going to take a lot of hours to complete the full game.
The open wheel cars racing at spa is a sight to behold.

The shop I secured mine from, received plenty of Xbox and PS3 versions, but only two PC ones. I got the last put by. Have even set my alarm to get up on my holiday to get it. The retail version of where I ordered mine, did not have any PC versions but loads of Xbox and PS3.

So theres basically a shortage of all formats all over the place....

So getting one is a lottery then.

No, it seems only PC format effected. Getting that is like Rocking Horse poo.

Yep, a quick check reveals all formats but PC in stock in several outlets.
 
so how does this game look on the pc? better then the xbox 360 version?

i haven't been able to play it on the pc yet,as my gaming pc is dead for a while...

and could anyone with similar specs to me tell me if they can play the game in max settings

I have the full game on the pc and the xbox360.
The pc is the best version because you can run it at higher resolutions and it has a much higher framerate.
My pc is nearly the same as yours but i only have an 8800gt graphics card.
It will run on my system with everything maxed out and i get between 40-60fps.
It will be fine on your system.
 
i cancelled my order with the jersey place after they botched the AoC orders up so im hoping i can grab a copy in the shops friday, bloody typical if they havent managed to get them distributed and the shelves are bare!!! arrgg i must have this game!
 
Looks like I gotta drop down to the pirple shirted eye stabbers in the morning as none of my local supermarkets have PC versions in, only 360 and PS3.

reports of pirated copies working online, which got me thinking , now why the hell would codemasters let this happen.? it wasn't until i saw all the advertising in game, then it hit me, the more eyes they have to see those ads, the more money it is for them.

is this the way of things to come ? subsidised games with shed loads of ads in them? i know its been here for a while now, but in essense a free game for some?

Seems to be using the same engine as Dirt, but the amazing thing is that it looks considerably better and runs better too (at least for me anyway).
 
working, online, like, you mean proper working, like play online against people and everything, without checking cd keys or anything, really?

Thats bad... If pirated versions work online then its highly likely that public servers will be full of morons, as they have no fear of getting there CDkeys banned. :(

Lets hope there are enough OcUK members to hold decent closed room races. :)
