Really? I'm honestly having no issues at all with the PS2 pad. I use the right analogue for acceleration/brake which works a treat.

I've uploaded a TVR 1v1 race using the pad, click (just make sure to press high quality, normal is abnormally bad!). That's on "Savage" difficulty with braking assist off. It's in head cam 'cause that's how I race, plus you get to see what my thumb is doing. It works fine, at least for me. Edit: oh and fraps didn't record any sound so I had to chuck an upbeat tune in :p

I don't get stuttering on Le mans but when the headlights come on I can feel a drop in FPS.

Loving it.

anyone considering some ocuk private servers so us forum peeps can race each other ? truly sick of playing random servers too many ramming kids
 
If anyone's up for a game later(about 11am) I'll gladly host a private server.

Yeah I got that from them. It's information gathering for them too though I think. That way they'll see if it's a problem common to a particular piece of software or hardware.

Yeah I haven't played online since the demo but I remember this one really annoying occurance where the guy I was chasing would continually appear to slow down, therefore causing me to crash into him and giving me damage, then I guess his lag resolved itself and he'd shoot back infront unharmed.

I'll be down for a race !
 
Omfg , the le mans race keeps crashing.

Got to 7 mins left now have to do it all over, again :mad:.

Only happens on this damn race :mad:, it's such a boring track too.

- tried again and only got to 14 minutes. this is so crap, le mans is the biggest earner for the whole season... gonna have to play without it

Thanks for hosting the server but just too much damn crashing I'm afraid. Call me a moaner if you like but using others as a brake and moving over on someone when you know full well they're there is just lame and spoils the game. If you can't race fair then push off and use a console with all the other children :p :D

Might be back on later when I've calmed down ;)
 
Problem is that, if you don't have analogue accelerator/brake control, it's impossible to drive the lighter cars without assists, you just end up drifting everywhere and spinning. Sorry, but having driver assists on is not an excuse for driving like a moron. I know there's always some contact but there's a big difference between inadvertent contact whilst battling for position (a la BTCC), and ploughing into someone at a corner because you didn't have the presence of mind to use your brakes.

A friend suggested trying to get a proper online community going for this game, with teams and leagues etc. Well sorry but, if the game isn't going to "black flag" people who drive like they're in a pinball machine then any serious online leagues aren't going to work without loads of admins/refs/umpires judging each race. Shame really, ain't played any online racing games seriously since the days of Motorhead.

Need to get a 360 controller methinks.

Been playing using the G25

I run everything regards FFB at 100% and still find it rather light.
Is it just my setup but i get ZERO rumble effects from the wheel when riding kerbs or when crashing. The wheel still feels a bit lifeless compared to GT5
 
I just downloaded the demo and it seems there's a problem with Securom and Kaspersky as the game won't start. I've tried all sorts from turning off kaspersky, changing the exe switches and running in different compatability modes but it just won't start :/
