well everything is fine with ultra high settings but when u race 25h lemon at night time there is few places were fps drops 40/ 45 and u can feel it on the screen that smoothness disappears for a sec than it goes back to 80 , but on any different race is fine 80/90 fps.

found some bug as well in 24 lemon race head lights were bugged and i could see light just some squares (first time that happened to me )

Sorry if this has been mentioned before...

Installed the 175.16 Det drivers for my 9600GT (the latest ones on the nVidia site) and the performance increase is huge in the demo! I don't have any numbers, but I have it at 1280x1024, 4xAA, 4xAF and every setting as high as it will go.....smooth as silk now.

I was actually undecided about this game, but now I've seen it running this nicely I'll probably go for it

What resolution are you running at? I've got virtually the same spec and 40-45fps is about the top end!

Hello all

Since changing the graphics settings to Ultra high, the game no longer works, I load up the game and the screen goes black and the intro/music is all stuttery and the screen remains black...??

Ive tried reinstalling and I did a system restore and it still keeps going to a black screen

Launch the game in safe mode and adjust the settings.

You can get to safe mode with the Vista Games browser, just right click the GRID icon.

Also on lemans I totally ripped my front end off but My headlights still worked even though they didn'y exist.

Brilliant game. It's an arcade racer, not a simulation - so not having pits and such doesn't really bother me. The action in multiplayer at the sharp end is great and i've had a high heart rate on more than one occasion! The multiplayer is especially good once you find a bunch of people who won't block the track when they are out of the race etc.

I've never got anything off steam....can you download it then burn it to disk and everything is ok for ever and ever....

Anyone know of a fix?

As far as I know steam has no expiry date on its downloads. As long as steam exists you have your games available to download. I have about 50 games on there. Its nice that they get patched automatically as well. There is an option to backup files so if things go **** up you can backup from disk and not wait for the downloads. Mind you last time I did that I think it took longer then a download. They also have very fast reliable servers.

Try an earlier driver. That's the recommendation on the official forum if you're having problems.

I got coruption on grid too with x1950pro sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt.

edit = post 5 pic i got and happened with a few diff drivers. cant be sure but i think when i play a ut3 game then grid i got the corruption tho i cant be sure.

Anyone know how to backup the multiplayer profile ? Cos sometimes on exit i get BSOD. So i was wondering if the BSOD would wipe my stats or are they stored server side ?

Does anyone know how to Host a Private MP game, me n SkeeterPSA are trying to play together with no infidels but we can't host, our games won't appear in the list, skeeter has opened port 3047 or whatever both udp and tcp but nothing.


Does anyone know how to host ?

We both can't host and I'm with Orange NL and skeets with Be unlimited I think.

We can't see each others game in the list but we can both join.

Right, I've tried the 8.2, 8.1 and 8.5 cats, none of them work with this game and 1950pro, bit annoyed as everything else is fine and dandy.

I just tested and its fixable if you enable geometry instancing. Not sure if CCC allows it on or off as was greyed out for me, but with Ati Tray Tools its tweakable on and off. On makes it run off makes it corrupt after intro movie.

8.5 drivers im on.
