Race Driver: Grid

Whoo hoo... Found a new problem.. i have half the text missing from the game.

So my computers finally decided to join the "l33t" world...:p

Yeah I had that problem, none of the server names were their either online, was weird, but just needed to restart the game completely then it seemed to fix it...

I think the lag was my connection (hosting).. I just realised the machine downstairs was uploading/downloading. Maybe someone else could try hosting next time.

Was a few good races until it fell apart after about half an hour - shame really.

Running this at 1920x1200, 4xAA with VSync On and it's running sublime... I spent an hour farting about trying to get it to start and downloaded the 1.1 patch... however it still wouldn't start, a reboot later and all is well... and WOW, what a game, certainly the best carcade racer around on any platform today, making anything on consoles look poor me thinks...

The replays are awesome once youv'e had a good race, just sit back and watch which I've never done on others as they look crap, however, here ever cars is rendered superbly...

Have to stay, I'm a massive fan of tis game... upto now and I'm 2 hours in!

Cheers Pug

Theres been youtube vids showing this game running sublime on even the mid-priced machines on ultra/max quality...the engine on this game must be exceptionally coded.

GRID is fun, I am usually a sim racer (live for speed, richard burns rally) and I have the Logitech G25 wheel, which works fine on this game. Got it from steam, us PC users get it for around £15 cheaper (£24.99, it works out similar buying it from Steam) and tend to get a more mature community online..as well as a better looking game...its win win win.

For anyone who likes racing games, I would try this. Dont be confused though by false advertisers, this game is NOT a sim! It has unique handling thats just so fun to mess around on.

Recommended! Beware though buying it on Steam, its at least a 3GB download...it took me about 10 hours to download cos I got friggin capped (damn virgin! :p)

Been hunting around and I can't find any real answers to this one.

How can I use a game controller on the main menu (Logitech RumblePad2) and for flashbacks?

Can anyone help?

Thanks

I just cannot get to grips with the F3 cars.

No matter what, when I start I'm always struggling to keep it straight.

As soon as I slow down and try to speed up - bam wheel spin.

Played this in Curry's for about 30 minutes, quality game :D

Getting it now, even bought a ps3 pad for the PC xD

Decided to get myself a black wireless 360 pad now. Got a charge kit too. Quite impressive goes with my black and silver theme setup better too. I've been using a white wired 360 pad since they came out. I like it so much so may as well shell out. Even though its wireless I'm amazed that it doesn't lose any responsiveness. Plus the old one is starting to get grime stuck in the crevices. Black won't show that :)
