Race Driver: Grid

Hmm.. been trying out the open wheels on normal difficulty with my g25, and I get beaten for pace down EVERY straight. At first I thought maybe I was just cornering badly, but then I came out of a corner side by side with an AI car, doing the same speed, then he suddenly switches on some kind of n0s and begins to sprint away.

Anyone else getting this?

- Also how come n o s is censored rofl

I really don't know what's so exciting about this exclusive car thing ;) It's just a reskin advertising their own company! The car is in the game anyway as I was driving it yesterday!

Im loving this so far, setup my own team "Racin Wrecks" and im busy polishing my cars now... got 8 in my garage, how is everyone else playing, im trying to max out the Euro leagues before moving onto the US and leave the Jap til last as Drifting is my least favourite discipline. Im playing on Serious atm, and ive quite easily won every race, had to restart one or two due to get punted off the track by the quite impressive IA... thinking of switching to Extreme/hardcore, but i dislike loosing so probably wont. :D

Well turns out my g25 is totally useless for this.

I tested it and found that my xbox controller when puttin the pedal to the metal is roughly 10 mph faster than my g25 when maxed out on the straights. I mean wtf?!

I spent hours wondering why everyone was zipping past me trying to get my wheel adjusted, then plugged in my gamepad and went from 12th to 1st within 20 seconds of the damn race.

It's a shame cos I really wanted to use my wheel + pedals so I could stop the wheelspin with the touring cars etc, but I'll just havew to compromise I guess.

Ive noticed this with the R660 everyone seems to be going past me on the straights :(

we know from experience that nothing really stops the hackers for long on PC. Starforce was the most effective system I've seen so far, but was not popular with everyone.

At least by buying the game you are making a sequel more likely. If we can't make a profit, we won't be able to fund future development on this platform.

Looking to the future, I'm keen to try out some new server based authentication systems. It is now possible to run sections of non time-critical code on a server that can communicate with the game. This is impossible to reverse engineer or crack, but it would need to be seamless and non-intrusive to be a viable option for us and you

interesting, looks like they've gone out on a limb to an extent and thought well there's nothing much we can realistically do currently to stop piracy so why bother. Slightly worrying though is the threatening overtone that says if people keep pirating, we ain't gonna produce for pc no more.....

They need to realise that if they stop developing for PC then those PC gamers will be annoyed and just buy a console on the cheap and download the console leaks instead and this would be much worse having a large console pirate base than just a PC one with a few console praters.

Consoles are dirt cheap these days so it's easy to have a 2nd one chipped ready to play new games off-line without affecting your LIVE account and we all know console leaks come out before PC leaks in general so it would turn out even worse.
