Race Driver: Grid

great game ruined by rammers online though

Unlike the demo you rank up over time, so I imagine that once you get to a fairly prestigious level the jerks will fade out.

Think I might finish most of the SP before hitting MP big time, just had a go and I was all over the shop.

Yeah same here:(
But they did say they will recieve the copys tommorow

Got mine reserved last night in a local shop, they only had two copies. It looked like my local "hunt for..." shop had empties on the shelf, not sure if they had stock though. They had it at full price.

Great game though, only played single player so far to get used to tracks and cars before I go on-line. One track has a short stutter on one part other than that, great. The 24 hour (Well 24 mins) race is a killer!

Played the demo on the Xbox 360 which i thought was excellent then went out and got a copy for the PC today and i'm even more impressed. Graphics are amazing and a fair bit better than the 360 version and car handling feels the same, Coming from Forza 2 and GT5P i'm very impressed.

The bad points for me are the cars seem to spin out too easily and it's really annoying when you've got a good position and some jerk decides to play dodgems :( but apart from that i'm loving it although tbh i've only really played online up to yet!

BTW, I'm playing this on a hi spec 8800GTS, Q6600 HTPC hooked up to a 40" Sammy LCD and using a wired 360 pad.

I do love it already! Just set up my team and completed my first championship :D
The AI is really good, I do love it when they make mistakes and stuff it up, in one race alone 4 cars were totally taken out (nothing to do with my actions whatsoever).
In another race I was overtaking P1, and just as I was passing him, he swerved away from me, and then back to me, trying to ram me! Cheeky get!
The handing is good, i did find the porsche a little too different, but the touring cars are very solid and the damage is amazing, you do feel vulnerable and it does heighten the excitement, the speed is also very good.
The only downers I can think of atm are silly floating name tags on cars (why?! I can see in the top right who they are :-/ ) and when you spin the camera turns too much. Other than that, a really amazing game by Codies.

I was thinking that too.

Loving the final game. The SP bit is tricky though cos you're straight into tracks that you don't know. A good challenge.

Really disappointed though that i have to use the keyboard to move through the menus. In TOCA3 you could set the menu controls to whatever you want. Maybe it doesn't recognise my Logitech pad properly?

Went to get this today to use with my G25 and nobody had received any PC stock :(

Not wagging my finger at you by any means but you should have pre-ordered it to stand any chance of getting it today (I am sure they do this on purpose, short supply usually increases demand for any product). I am sure you will pick up a copy in the next day or so. Do get it though it is a really good game and worth the price (in my opinion).
