Hmm, literally all i did was put the file in the install directory next to the grid.exe and the double clicked it, the game ran, i went to the code screen, pressed F12, the codes poped up top left and i entered them.
Seems to unlock the skins but in just single race mode i can't seem to find any more cars, so no clue if its 100% working.
Tried the le mans race only to be lagged to death at the start and at random intervals downs straights, tried to play the story mode only to have it hang on the loading screen forcing me to restart, looks to be another poor console port for the little i have played of it.

Seriously? Ive had 3 team mates and they were all poo. Either DNF or finish last. Got bored of hearing the "sorry mate, im dead last" radio message and gave up!

just had a destruction derby marathon online, the midair collisions at the intersections are some of the funniest things youll ever see 
the race leader was roughly one hairpin ahead of me and as he took the jump I plunged right into him and shouted fatality!
it also had some very infuriating moments too. i started in pole and took the first jump and bounced and procedeed to roll 6 or 7 times, finally coming to rest before being punted in turn along the track by every racer so that it wouldn't reset me until i was dead last. still made me laugh tho!

yep cost me one of the championships, he's an Italian guy forget his name but he asks for 40% winnings from each race. Pro tune is his specialty, he is quite rubbish sometimes though

Went in and got the highest ranked guy I could afford. Paul Collins. Now im gettin 1-2 finishes im my races, and hes a real challenge to beat
any one getting jerky issues online when around other players? its getting horrid on the drift tracks and its costing me 1st place, whenever im around other players the game will pause for a split second, no issues in sp so im assuming its down to mp.
There's loads of issues like this with this game. Your best bet is the official forum where these things are being reported to codemasters.
On a lighter note, after 2 days of fannying around with this game I finally got it playable last night after fixing my stuttering issues and finding that my Saitek controller works perfectly (after some profile setting).
I have to say that I really enjoy it now and reckon that it's a great game. I love the animated menus, in game graphics are great and the game play is really good (with a properly compatible controller
). What a shame that codemasters have cocked it up so badly.

I agree, theyve cocked nothing up 99% of people are happy with it, with a decent (360) pad its fine, one of the best games out for ages
