Race Driver: Grid

Bloom seems tones better than demo i just noticed. Not as overlit as demo. The motion blur i tryed for first time today and its really nice but really confusing the heck of me when driving makes me dizzy. Is there a way to reduce the blur just a bit so i dont feel like im gona be motion sick lol.

is all the waiting around on mp really necessary?

i don't see the point in the 60 seconds between every race. everyone should be ready by default, you should not need to push a button to show that you are there. if someone has to miss a race every couple of hours because they need the toilet, then so be it. it sucks having to wait an average of 40 odd seconds before all the lights go green because someone always forgets to push the button.

the worst part of it is that even if you no not click ready (and are not kicked by the end of the voting - which unfortunetly will be harder to accomplish after the patch), you still load into the game and then everyone crashes into you as you sit idle on the grid. so the ready screen is totally pointless

also it sucks having to wait ages before the map vote begins. and during the vote, when everyone has selected an option the vote should end immediately, not wait for the timer to reach zero. there are loads of little things like that which all add up to loads of wasted time, and make playing online feel disjointed and frustrating, especially since so many races are wrecked in the first corner, leaving you waiting what seems like an eternity for a new one to begin.

^They have undoubtedly made a bit of a mess of the Multiplayer^

I'm enjoying the single player so much that I don't intend to even look at the online section until the patch arrives. Then we can have some proper OcUK races. :) ............Which I'll probably loose! :p

Way too much waiting around time in mp! Waiting for menus to appear, waiting for people to hit return/enter fifty times, waiting for people to ready up, waiting for voting to start, waiting for voting to continue, waiting for voting to end.

If there was a stat for waiting around it would probably 100x greater than the stat for actual racing (both mp and sp combined!)

Renamed GRID.exe to FEAR.exe & now im getting multi GPU performance.
So it can be fixed at driver level buy ATI/AMD.
Going to try 2560x1600.

This game is alright but tbh I dont think its as good as RD2&3. They seem to have made it a bit too much like NFS for me. The feel for the cars are pretty poor compared to RD2&3and the physics feel a bit poor. V8's on Laguna Seca and the Seat Leon touring I really miss. Maybe it will change a bit further in the game. Good thing is it runs maxed out even on my comparatively old system (AMD single/7800)

Its the opposite for me..i dont use sp much because online racing is so much fun..especially with a wheel and pedals, the saitek R220 works well with this game and the game itself is running great on my system at max settings.

Yeah, I miss Laguna Seca too. It's a wicked track.

I did a few laps around it once and the corkscrew is amazingly steep in real life. They did a good job of it in TOCA3, I thought.

i have just got this and installed the drivers to use my xbox 360 pad but how do i use it in the game? can not find anywhere to set it up. thanks

well vista detected it and installed the drivers but i can not change the control setup in the game. This might sound thick but do i need to have the xbox button pressed on? you no the middle one which you can use to turn your xbox on

i use the wireless pad, and yeah, i press that button before i start the game.

Search in google for the Microsoft Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows.

They are around £15 on the highstreet, a couple of quid cheaper online. I'm after getting one myself seeing as this game is pants with a PS2, which I have been using for ages without problems.
