I dont even think he's being racist. He's just a muppet who would pick on anybody. Get abuse all the time running.

You can look at it another way as a white man who used to run around Ogden water and see scores of asian gangs drug dealing was hardly pleasant. Still doesnt give anyone the right to hit someone for no reason, or for any reason.

The guy's a brainless thug white or otherwise.

Born and lived in Bradford for 33 years, and thank God im not there anymore.

You can have non-British ethnicity and still be British. He was clearly referring to his race and colour to give us an understanding of the motives behind the attack.
 
I used to run through an Asian area for 8 years and I got all sorts of abuse so I know where you're coming from.
They stopped after about 5 years because they knew I'd never bait.
What I didn't like was them spitting at me from a bridge but the names never bothered me.

You don't need to do anything. If I wanted to deal with him, I could myself, I've got friends aswell lol. I just don't want the hassle, neither do my Parents.

He wasn't being a pratt or a muppet, if he wanted to start on anybody, he could have on the white folks which went past, or the chav teens walking around. But he never. He just decided to pick on me, and hit the other guy.

All I can say is good on you for standing up and doing what was right....Karma in action :)

I still would have alerted the police though even if it was just to inform them of the inident.
 
I hate racism, I got to know a guy on a night out, we did loads of sambuca shots and he got all racist so I broke the ******s nose.

Well done to you mate, people can't be pushed around by scummy racist *******s like that.
 
I wouldn't necessarily take particular racial offence at his actions, it sounds like he's the kind of guy who would have attempted a fight with anyone, given enough time. You were just an easier target in his eyes.

A mate of mine has a curry place and he loves to be given grief "well it dose give him an excuse for revenge not that he loves to be abused" of the racial kind, he keeps a bunch of perfectly legal herbs in the kitchen and they get generously added to any racists food if they order food and make any nasty comments. He can still smile as he gives them their order as he knows where they will be as soon as those herbs do their stuff, laxative herbs are wonderful.

out of curiosity were your parents born in Britain?

saying your British and Pakistani sounds strange as being Pakistani relates to being born and bred in Pakistan
if you said you were a British Asian then i would understand as that would constitute a race and not a nationality

one of my grandads was polish but i wouldnt say i was a British born Pole
infact when my mates have ribbed me about it i laugh it off and say i`m British through and through
 
This may be a tangent, but aren't there a lot of cousin marriages amongst that community in Bradford? Might have something to do with the disdain towards your ethnicity, Vita (not saying I'm certain on this by the way).

I think it's better to say, British born with Pakistani descent. Unless the OP means he was born in Britain but has Pakistani passport and with Pakistani citizenship, which I doubt
