I was thinking starting the qualifying around 7pm? say 10 mins qualifying before a 25-30 minute race? and whatever free time before that (hosted sessions are 4-hours) I'll have as practice...

Just purely out of interest, does anyone have an old knackered G25 lying about that they would be willing to sell a small part of?

Yeah I should be up for that, I'll probably be slow though as I've hardly ever driven the MX-5.

I was thinking Summit Point (either full or Jefferson layout), which I think is a free/standard track? Correct me if I'm wrong, the plan is to be free cars and tracks only to make it open to anyone who wants to do it,

Car wise I was thinking multi-class between the MX5 and the Spec Racer Ford (need to check as I'd like them to be about the same speed and I don't know if they are tbh...)

I should be up for some racing, still getting used to the G27(after upgrading from DFGT) so am not as fast as i used to be. :p

Is it worth the upgrade? My crappy dfgt peddles (well the brake) died on me yesterday and I dont know if I should buy a g27 or go for the club sport peddles.

Afaik the club sport pedals are the best if you can afford them. I've got a G27 and I think the pedals are pretty decent though.

I think it's worth the upgrade, everything is just better espically the pedals(i thought the DFGT was a great wheel for the price but the g27 just blows it out of the water.)

Havn't used the club sport pedals so can't say if they are better.

All I've read would suggest that CST pedals are the best pedals but they cost even more than CSP's. You can also get the plans to make them yourself if your a bit handy at diy.

Not a big fan of Jefferson, especially in the SRF, too many off-camber corners.

cool might have to invest in some CSP's then as my faulty brake is given me the *****

Another strange with with my DFGT and iracing is that when I start the iracing service for the first time my steering wheel rotation is really really small. The only way I can fix this is to restart my pc with my dfgt plugged into the usb restart iracing and it reverts back to a 900 degrees rotation. Its only iracing that has this problem.

Aww, I love Jefferson, mainly cause I seem to go well there :p

Unfortunately I don't think I'm going to be able to host it today now, maybe next weekend, although did still seem like there'd only be a few of us, a few weeks ago it seemed like more people were interested, now they've disappeared :p

noticed simbin have released another addon for race07 called stcc2. Cant work out if it has been given a graphics overhaul as the steam pictures looked really good. Fired up race07 the other day but coming from iracing the engine looks really dated now.

I'm still interested, haven't been online all weekend due to poorly children syndrome.

I'm getting back into this again after a week or so off. Finally got back to winning ways last night. It feels like something has 'clicked', I'm driving smoother, and it feels slower, but is much safer and actually faster, and more consistent. Started 9th last night on Lime Rock (Maxda MX5) and finished 1st with only 1 incident, which was running wide on a corner and a barely touched the grass!!

SR is 3.50 now, so I just have to hold onto that and I'll be promoted :) Not until 2nd May though, so I'm going to push for a SR of 4.0 to get an early promotion.

My iRacing SR is now at 3.99, so one more decent race and I'll be a D Class racer, yay!

Now, I need to decide whether to invest in the Skip Barber, or the Jetta. Any thoughts? It's so annoying that you can't test them before buying :(
