Never mind the 480 I want what she is selling.

Would love to overclock that thing.

I think it means AMD is blocking over 1400 OCs via their own tool to limit noobs ability to blow up their card.

Which would mean Afterburner etc for proper OCing. So you'll be waiting for unwinder to get his card from MSI again...

I'm talking about the clock rates, not so much overclocking, Pascal don't overclock well either but they are running at <2Ghz

not that ^^^^ dramatic but it does make one wonder, Nvidia are pushing 2Ghz, can't these get anywhere near that, if not why not?

They aren't designed to. Nvidia purposely designed Pascal to clock high by doing a thorough critical path optimization. Nvidia have officially said they gained hundred of Mhz from doing that. So around half the performance increase comes form the new node and half comes form optimization the Maxwell architecture for higher clock speeds.

AMD didn't, they put their resources in to other things like getting their front-end up to scratch

they will never clock to the same degree, by design.

Hi there

Well $239 / 1.45 = £165 x 20% VAT = just shy of £200, yes the plan was to hit £199 with 8G !!! NO CHANCE NOW! :(

But now $239 / 1.31 = £182 x 20% VAT = near as dammit £220.

£20 increase on such a low price part because we left EU, on cards such as 1080 the price increase is simply too saddening.

Come on UK, sort it out, get the pound back upto at least 1.40 your ruining the economy!

Things could get pricier if Osborne has his way.
