Radeon RX 480 "Polaris" Launched at $199

AMD Radeon RX 480 Scores 6.8 Points in SteamVR Benchmark – The Most Affordable “VR Ready” Graphics Card Out There

The RX 480 is roughly equal to the R9 390 in terms of performance numbers. In fact, Sapphire has stated on record that even if you have an R9 390 (and certainly all cards above it), its not worth upgrading to the RX 480. What sets the Polaris counterpart apart however is the high power efficiency and high value that the card offers. In fact, I also took the liberty to calculate value (performance per dollar) based on the release MSRP and the RX 480 absolutely kills in that department. The Polaris based graphics card is in a league of its own, and the disruption is value can be seen from the structural break that occurs in the trend line of the graph.

Its around 390 performance then.

Bleh, it would be nice to have a few hours to decide.

lol you are not in a race against the clock, look up the reviews before you decide, you dont have to order it as soon as it's available.
from the leaks so far AMD seemed to have made a lot of concessions on the pcb and cooler to be able to bring the price under 200$, i am hoping custom card will have better OC.

No thanks to the GTX1060. It'll be gouged to hell, Founder's Editions only and a trickle of stock into the channel.

Plus I want to replace my monitor soon and i'm not paying £200 for the same model because nVidia says so.
