Radeon RX 480 "Polaris" Launched at $199

It's faster than 970 and so one would expect it to also be more expensive with 970 still remaining in price stack and as 980 is gone I feel 1060 will be £250-£300 area, pure guess work but using common sense. :)

Considering the 4gb 960 release price was $239 or 249 and $199 for 960 and nvidia added $50 on top of everything minimum this release, it will be silly to assume that the 1060 is going to be less than $239 / $279 for 3/6gb.
Pretty sure they will just fill the gap between 480 and 1070 with it so my guess is £230 3gb and £270+ 6gb for reference. Maybe around 980 performance.

So can't get to 1500mhz? wccftech really showed how full of junk they really are.

The flurry of information aka "leaks" coming from them was incredible over this card. If this tells you anything about their total disregard for truth....

Gregster. Will you be getting a AIB 480 to review? Or sticking with the stock one you already bought?

Stock one and fan noise isn't an issue. My Titan X was bloody loud lol and even though I had a waterblock, I never bothered to put it on :D

I am guilty of many times using them for leaks and info but they went to a new level of click bait with the 480 and often led people up the garden path with some of their rubbish. Some of what they posted gave some thoughts of Titan X performance and that isn't fair or just and only leads to some getting disappointed.

I reckon the 1060, if a bit faster than the 480 will be around the £250 mark.

Gives them three a nice price brackets

1060 ~£250 +/- £20
1070 ~£400 +/- £25
1080 ~ £575 +/- £50
