Stepping up from the reference’s 3+1 power phases, the 6+1 phase design on the GTX 1060 G1 GAMING
Just to say that 1060 announcement i found today which might be interesting for amd fans to read.

And i quote.
Seems the ref 1060 has much lower power phase than a ref 480. So score 1 for amd there.
Looks like Linus has got an RX460:

So,does that mean the RX460 and RX470 are going to be launched soon??

Quite like the look of it, and looking at the cooling on that thing, it looks more than adequate, maybe they clocked the nuts off it? lol
Considering selling my EVGA ACX 2.0 980 and picking up one of these aftermarket 480s. I know its pretty much a sidegrade but I'm really starting to dislike Nvidia. Been looking at 980 auctions and I could get £250ish easily for it so the switch will cost me nothing.
I'm thinking the 480 will age way better than the 980 due to double the vram and excellent DX12 performance. The aftermarkets will probably be equal to 980 in DX11 atm but I can see that changing very quick by the end of the year (nvidia focusing on Pascal, 480 receiving 10-20% through drivers).
What do you chaps think?
edit: I'm at 1080p 120hz for another year or two, still rocking a 2500k too. Will do a complete rebuild early 2018.
I wouldn't, be a downgrade.
