They have been amazing cards. I have had mine since launch and it's still going strong. And it keeps on giving, now with a big performance jump in Doom through Vulkan.
Just postponed my upgrade plans for another few months.

Unless the information comes gold stamped from AMD, with a legally binding contract, I now don't believe a damn thing till release. (link looks pretty damn good... but still not gonna allow myself to be lead by the hype again).

With 2048 Shaders it wouldn't be a bad GPU that at the right price, it would still be just as fast as a GTX 970.

I must admit, I am curious how the 470 will perform, and it's overclocking potential. Not something I would buy now, as I have a 380, and lookin to upgrade, but interesting none-the-less.

The 470 is to the 480 as the 380 is to the 380x so the difference shouldn't be massive really. I'm guessing it's exactly the same cooler as the 480 has, so it may overclock a little more given less heat from the disabled CUs and heat seemingly being the main issue for reference coolers.

3) Has one manufacturer out of these normally got the better binned chips?
Maybe it is slightly different this time due to the reference PCB's 'interesting' design, but still.

surely the 1060 will be a flop like the 480 because there are other similar performing cards already out there
no no. It will be considered the hottest damn thing on the planet yet.... COST MORE than the competition. The complaint was the same performance for the same-ish money. I bet the card will be lapped up.

If Nitro can drop in at around 1350 that will be good, and especially if the Toxic does come around the 1375 level.

for lower powered games and such I can easily see it doing it - we'll just have to see how well it could possibly handle bit heavier graphic stuff.....
I figured 470 coming in around 290 speeds could handle VR easily

Looking forward to seeing reviews on newer drivers and these cards. The Devil is certainly sounding good!! May be I will end up with this over a nitro!
1367 is a solid 100mhz over stock, hopefully running cooler and quieter with less throttling and more clocking to boot!
