Radeon RX 480 "Polaris" Launched at $199

290X appears to have been well ahead of its time, hardware-wise. Still a solid card, though VRAM may start to become an issue.

They have been amazing cards. I have had mine since launch and it's still going strong. And it keeps on giving, now with a big performance jump in Doom through Vulkan.

Just postponed my upgrade plans for another few months.

The 470 is to the 480 as the 380 is to the 380x so the difference shouldn't be massive really. I'm guessing it's exactly the same cooler as the 480 has, so it may overclock a little more given less heat from the disabled CUs and heat seemingly being the main issue for reference coolers.

1) Historically, has a custom PCB made any real difference to AMD overclocks?
2) Which brands normally open up voltage control?
3) Has one manufacturer out of these normally got the better binned chips?

Maybe it is slightly different this time due to the reference PCB's 'interesting' design, but still.

If Nitro can drop in at around 1350 that will be good, and especially if the Toxic does come around the 1375 level.

That powercolor looks immense as well, will be interesting to see how much further they can be pushed.
